C'est Cheese

Good: I love the staff of the shop! They are so friendly and very knowledgable about the cheese and items in the store. I love how helpful the employees are as well as the setup of the store.... Bad: The owner does not know what she is talking about and I found her quite rude when I was in there. A very nice gentleman was helping me when she told him to do something else and that she would help me instead (I was enjoying the man's help too), but then she just left me standing there instead of helping me. I feel bad because she seems to treat her staff so poorly.. Improvements: I would like to see a better wine selection as well as a greater variety of prepared food.. Other: The staff washes their hands constantly (I go in there all the time). You might not always see it, but there are hand sanitizers behind the counter that they use when they do not go over to the sink to wash their hands. Also, some of the cheese doesn't move very fast, but the employees (not the owner though) warn you about them when you ask for or about them. The owner doesn't know what she's talking about; I just nod my head and try to get someone else to help me. WATCH OUT FOR THE OWNER...she corners you.. more

I stopped at the new location for a few items. I noticed the owner & assistant handling the cheese, food and other items without gloves. They proceeded to check people out who had cash! And back to the cheese to restock...never wearing gloves, never washing hands while I was there............... more

Nancy and her staff really know their product. My only complaint about C'est Cheese is that I always eat too many samples while I am there! You will see and taste cheeses you have never heard of, but will quickly become favorites. Thanks C'est Cheese! more

Knowledgeable and friendly staff will let you taste before you buy, help plan a menu or tasting and remember you when you return for more cheese! The variety is incredible - over 130 cheeses - and there is always something new. Some of the fantastic varieties I have tried include: * A buttery rich triple creme Brie from France; * An aged Irish cheddar; * A sweet and crumbly Danish; * A goat cheese with two layers separated by ash; top layer from the afternoon's milking and the bottom from the morning's; * A soft cheese with chunks of pineapple that I can't recall the name of; * A tangy manchengo from Spain * A salty rich bleu with a smear of chocolate! * A nutty buttery Swiss * A peppered Brie, spicy and spreadable * A beer ripened cheese Jams, mustards, pates and crackers to go with are also sold here, and range from the familiar to exotic. You can stock up for a party, or buy just enough for a impromptu picnic. The prices are very reasonable and the atmosphere is welcoming, even for a cheese novice - no cheese snobs here!
