Catfish Plantation

This was so worth the trip. We drove down on Saturday to eat lunch. The staff was really great and our waitress, Erika was super fast. We were really hungry and she made sure we got our food quick. This was the best catfish I have ever had and everything was homemade. I think that the chef must be the devil because the way the food tasted I could not stop eating. We even had dessert which I never do. The bread pudding was evil! I could not stop stuffing my face. I can't wait to go back! Catfish Plantation have the best real southern food I have ever eaten. We went on a Friday night so it was pretty busy. Not really any more busy than any place else on a Friday though. Our Server was Bonnie and she was great. Very attentive and funny. She said she had been there for like 15 years. I can see why. The food was wonderful. I had the Catfish New Orleans which is a blackened fish with Creole sauce and monterrey jack on top. Super GOOD!!! The fried pickles are clearly homemade. Crispy and hot, not limp and greasy like some places I have been. I will be back. It felt like coming home to my favorite restaurant. Even the hostess was nice. Highly recommend for everyone. Very bad service. After waiting almost an hour on a 20 minute wait for a table. Staff sat parties that arrived well after we did simply because we were on 3 and would leave an empty seat at a table that would hold 4. It's a pity because we used to really like the place, but one bad experience can turn you off forever. Take your chances at getting a table if you go with a small party. It seems they are more interested in packing the place than taking care of the customers. Pros: Great Atmosphere Cons: No concern for patrons more
