Good food but not good for big groups. Service was slow and sharing a bill between a large group was extremely difficult and left people running to a nearby ATM... Food was good but only a good idea for smaller parties more

We experience something that changed our prospective for eat out. We ordered happy hr drinks (2 for one) and were told we did not have to choose the same drink for our second, so 4 of us choose another drink. This drink was awful, so we asked if we could change and was told by the waiter he could not return the drink, but what do we prefer. He then commences to take one of the drinks (already been drunk from) and gave it to the table next to us. We though we were seeing things, but then proceeded to take another one of the returned drinks to yet another table. We were just amazed and requested the check and left. This ruined out vacation experience, as we just did not trust anyone serving us, who else is doing this? Since he could not return the drinks, was he re selling them? Are they recycling the cherries from our Martinis? also?? So, are complementary appetizers rejects from other customers? Cons: Be aware of your surroundings more

This restaurant is in Lincoln Mall and has a large outdoor section for dining and watching people walk by. The owner aggressively tries to get people to sit down and dine at his restaurant. When he seated me and my customer he told us that if we didn't like the food it would be free. We sat and watched. Our bread and water came quickly and we were able to place our order fairly rapidly. After a short wait our calamari appetizer arrived which was pretty good. Pros: Location, great people watching Cons: Cold and tasteless food, understaffed, slow service. more

The atmosphere on Lincoln Road Mall is simply unmatched in America. Even when it gets crowded, the atmosphere is always pleasant and since there are no cars to spoil the mood, it is a pleasure to dine on the mall. Some of the restaurants are a bit pricy, but I assume this is probably a reflection of generally overpriced real estate in SOBE. I have to say that I am doubtful of some of these reviews because we have been to Carnivale on many ocassions and have always had a great experience. There was one time when one of the people in my party changed their mind on the dish they ordered. After reading the negative reviews by some about Carnevale I just had to give my 2 cents worth. I am a Miami native and have eaten at all the restaurants that have come and gone on Lincoln Road and none compare to Carnevale. The food is always fresh , hot and very tasty. The service is by far the friendliest I have seen on Lincoln Road. At Carnevale they aim to please their customers. I have been there on many occasions with my husband, family and with a large group and I loved it each and every time. Don't miss the freshest mozarella and tomato appetizer out there (caprese salad) all the entries I have had have all been delicious! it is hard to pick a favorite. If you are in search of fine dining, great ambience and service that will impress you, there is only one place on Lincoln Road - Carnevale. Pros: food just like mama used to make more

Our waiter was terrible. First, he gave a slightly disgusted look when we wouldn't get bottled water (just getting tap), and then he kept pushing the special on us, even though none of us expressed any interest after the first time he mentioned it. They brought out the entrees before we had finished the appetizer, so the table was overcrowded. It just felt like they were trying to get rid of us. And as we asked for the check, we were greeted with a dessert menu instead. We left a sparse tip to reflect the awkward, hurried service, which he proceeded to count right in front of us as we got up from the table. We were enticed by the outdoor seating and the manager promising a free bottle of wine and a 10% discount, neither of which we received. The food was okay, but the service was just awful. I asked for well done chicken and it came out pink! Not Cooked! Non apologetic, and only took 10% off meal, felt sick for days! Not recommended! Manager didn't even come and apologize! Worst birthday dinner! Pros: everything more

Not only a manager resembled a Turkish animator, service was terrible! A waiter accidentely dropped a tray with two drinks on my husband, and the same manager offered us free drinks (hello, we already have ordered wine) or free deserts (as if we wanted any). Didn't seem like a big deal to them. Carpaccio was not the best quality (kind of lettuce instead of aragula) and spagetti with seafood...well, could be just better. There are better Italian places in Lincoln Road! more
