If you are looking for a dentist with an attention to your specific needs (i.e., better looking smile, affordable, flexible scheduling, caters to the phobia "dentist fradie cat-itis") then Dr. Staffon is your dentist. Dr. Staffon has made my dental experience so pleasant, I actually look forward to my visits for cleaning, and whitening needs. If I do have dental problems (which is a rarity) I don't fear the inevitable doom of pain. It has never been an issue with Dr. Staffon. You will know instantly that I mean what I say, because when you call to set up an appointment you will get one of two of the best medical office personnel you have ever encountered. Always helpful, and will make every effort to accommodate your specific needs and or questions. The dental professional staff are also superb. You are encouraged to take full responsibility for health, but if you have found that you have been a little relaxed, they will politely encourage you to get back on track and keep you motivated to reach new goals. My experience at Dr. Staffon's office was such a relief. When I was there I was very comfortable. This is the first dental office that I did not have anxiety. In the past I was worried and nervous the whole time, but not here. Every procedure was explained to me in detail before they did it. My hands were dry (not sweaty) the entire time. People often ask me why I drive to Carlsbad for my dental work when I live in the Long Beach area and work in Santa Monica. The fact is, I would drive to Bakersfield if Staffon Dentistry was located there. Fortunately, I really enjoy the North County San Diego area, so that's an added bonus for me. When I have an appointment, I take off from work and make a day of it. I've had other dentists in my life and I've heard stories from friends who were less than satisfied with their dentists. There is no comparison. Dr. Staffon is the best - he always makes you feel at ease. What's more, the entire patient experience at Staffon Dentistry is outstanding. The dental assistants and hygienists are all top notch, and Maggie and Lynn at the front desk make you feel like part of the family. When I get reminder phone calls from them, it puts a smile on my face. My family has been coming to Dr. Staffon for 25 years. He has the most gentle manner and gives the best shot of Novacain. You don't even feel it. And I am needle phobic! Also, Maggie and Lynn at the front desk are amazing. They go way out of the way to accommodate scheduling issues. And we always have a fun visit with them when we get here. All in all, we always leave with a light step, like we've just had a great massage. Always a great experience! more
