New Furnace and A/C 4/1/2011

We had the unexpected occur, just before Christmas. SDG&E tagged my old workhorse of a forced-air furnace as unsafe. The old unit was Carrier and had served me well. I did my typical online and friend and neighbor research. I called several big name HVAC companies. I was having some difficulty with inconsistent information. A neighbor referred me to Carini Heating and Air, stating that they had a very difficult install and that Carini was the only company willing to take the job on. They were quite happy with the outcome. Gabriel came out and walked my home. We discussed options, needs, preferences, costs. I promptly received an estimate for three options, each of which he explained fully to me. I decided to add central air and replace existing duct work at the same time. I chose Rheem products. The day the job began, we had rain blowing sideways, the attic roof leaked, the yard turned to muck. We encountered many challenges in this project that never could have been forseen. Gabriel and his crew (Martin, Steve, Eladio and a few I am forgetting) were super. Very patient, provided great problem solving suggestions as they occurred. The crew are knowledgeable, polite, professional and worked hard in difficult conditions. They showed up on time, cleaned up each night and accommodated my 4 cats and a dog. I am not one to gush about customer service and I am VERY PICKY about contractors and fit, finish and function. They system exceeds my expectations. Follow up customer service has been prompt and professional. Doug and Lorraine provide office support and were great to work with. In short, I would highly recommend Carini Heating and Air for your HVAC needs. Thanks guys! more

Scripps Ranch Heating and Air Conditioning 12/14/2010

When my furnace stopped working a few weeks ago I remembered seeing a lot of trucks from Carini Heating and Air Conditioning in my Scripps Ranch neighborhood. So I asked some of my neighbors if they had any good or bad experiences with heating and air conditioning companies, and I got an earful of good comments about Carini and a few horror stories about a couple other companies that also work out here. One of my neighbors in particular told me about a company (a pretty big one in town) that refused to even consider doing repairs on their furnace, and only recommended installing a new system. So for due diligence, I got bids from 3 companies, inculding Carini. Here's what the 3 companies proposed: the first one told us the furnace couldn't be repaired, and we got an estimate for a new system from Amana. The second company said they could repair the system, and gave us a price for the repairs. Finally, Carini heating and Air gave us a much better price for the repairs, and said there was no reason to buy a whole new system. So we chose Carini and even signed up for a maintenance contract which gets us periodic inspections and regular maintenance. I have worked with a lot of contractors over the years and I think San Diego has its share of companies that try to sell people things they don't really need. With Carini Heating and Air, I felt comfortable that they were honest and professional, and they work hard to provide what their customers need - and not what they can sell them. Brian G. Encinitas Air Conditioning 6/6/2008

My house in Encinitas CA is close to the beach (almost in Leucadia) near hwy 101. I needed a new air conditioner and chose to also get a whole house air filtration system because almost everyone in our family has allergies. We chose Carini Air Conditioning because two of my neighbors in Encinitas used them, and now they're like the family air conditioning company. They do great work at great prices and I recommended them to my aunt and uncle in Carlsbad as well. Thanks Carini Air Conditioning for your great work in Encinitas.\r \r Hey - they need to change the phone number for Carini Air - it's 619-843-0997, NOT what's listed here!\r \r JR Pros: Great work, great prices, great service Cons: They're getting very busy more

San Diego's Best Air Conditioning 5/20/2008

First of all, you got the wrong phone number and address for Gabe Carini's business! Here's the right phone:\r 619-843-0997. How can anyone LOVE spending all the money you have to spend to keep your house cool? OK, I don't love it. But have you noticed how frigging hot it's getting in San Diego? It's like we're part of the desert! So I couldn't stand another summer sweating (and having my family be so uncomfortable) like we have in the last few years. My husband just wants to move to Wyoming. Sorry Charlie, we ain't moving, so get used to it and enjoy our newly cool house. I liked that Carini Air San Diego understands about being ""Green"" - it's important to me that they aren't polluters and that the air conditioning system they installed in my house was as energy efficient as possible. Heating and Air Conditioning San Diego 5/8/2008

For heating and air conditioning in my San Diego house, I hired Carini Heating and Air Conditioning based on a referral from my uncle. Carini Heating and Air Conditioning installed both heating and a new air conditioning system, complete with an air filtration system, in my house in Clairemont. I highly recommend Carini and would use them again.\r \r CZ Pros: Great service, prompt reply to my call more

Exceptional service and value 5/1/2008

Carini Heating and Air Conditioning installed a Rheem air conditioning system in my house in Clairemont. We also needed to replace our old furnace. Both systems were installed on one day after we called for an estimate, and the owner, Gabe Carini was more knowledgeable, friendly and technically oriented than any of the other three companies that we called to get competitive bids. It seems like there are a few different types of air conditioning companies in San Diego - large companies where the installers try to get the highest prices; really small, one-man shops that try to sell at the lowest prices but are not good at follow-up; and a few companies like Carini Air that really get to know the customer and their needs before bidding and installing. Carini's # is 619-843-0997. more

San Diego Best Air Conditioning 4/30/2008

Buying an air conditioning system in San Diego can be a real challenge. I have lived in several different houses from North County to most recently in Kensington, and I have had some real nightmare experiences with San Diego air conditioning companies. My best friend referred me to Gabriel Carini, owner of Carini Heating and Air Conditioning, for a new system for my vintage home that was built in 1933. We put in two different systems - one for the upstairs and one for the downstairs, and they were both professionally installed, on time, for a good price and with no hassles. My family trusts Gabe and would recommend him to anyone and everyone. Their phone number is 619-843-0997 Pros: totally dependable, honest and a talented technician more
