I've had nothing but good experiences at Caring Hands Animal Hospital. I take my dogs there. They always call to make sure that my dogs are okay after having their vaccines done. They're really caring and their prices are really good. I would recommend them to anyone. more

These days, so many people act as though you (the consumer) are lucky that they showed up for work!! Caring Hands Animal Hospital is by far the BEST new experience I've had in years!! Thank you ONE and ALL! After getting the "Bums-Rush" at several other Vets this am, I spoke w/Nicole who was willing to tell me whatever I needed to know. It's been a while since I've had a puppy, so I needed to know everything....and I was able to get in there 1-1/2hrs later too! When we arrived, it only got better. Carolyn, was amazingly sweet (I'm sure it wasn't because my puppy is sooo cute!) Ken, the Tech answered many, many questions...and I could really tell he loves his job, he's very good at it. They actually compete at who is nicer! Gotta love that! When Dr. Neubert came in, it was the very same Nicole I'd spoken with in the 1st place! She was just WONDERFUL!!! When we were finished, my bill was less than I'd expected! Again, Carolyn, VERY cool! Kodiak and I couldn't be happier! (probably me more...his hiney hurts) The only thing that would make them better is that they would treat humans too!! Hats off to you all!! more

LOVE THE NEW OWNER! Ive been going to Dr. Kolmstetter for years, on my last vet visit I discovered that Caring Hands is under new ownership/management with new hours and new prices. The new owner, Dr. Martinez, shook my hand and introduced himself to our goldendoodle maggie. Him and Dr. K seem to make a great team and he was very knowledgeable about maggie's case. I felt as if he has seen maggie before and felt comfortable with the way he handled her. He seemed very caring and compassionate, and he was detailed with maggie's physical. the new staff members were also very thorough about checking me in and out of my appointment quickly. The new receptionists seem to be very knowledgeable and took me step by step through their new hours, new prices, and awesome new services. I love how they'll be offering price packages and behavior training! I also love how they arent closed during lunch anymore, which was an issue before when I wanted to buy dog food during my lunch break. Dr. Kolmstetter is an amazing vet and Im relieved that I can still go to the same location to see her and get even better pet care. I can tell the new teammembers are real animal lovers! what's even better was that at the end of my visit I received half off my entire bill as part of one of their "new clinic" price specials! that was awesome! I cant wait to see all the new services they'll be offering. Good going guys! more

I miss Doc McGookey 8/24/2008

I wish Dr. McGookey were still here. Although I've always like VCA Painted Desert Animal Hospital, the staff attitude changed when he left. I had a dog with epilepsy who needed a refill on his phenobarbitol. I was told he would not get it refilled until he had new bloodwork done, which would cost over $230. I did not have it at the time, so instead of giving me another three months of the medicine, I had to put my dog down. I miss my Bryce so much. My teenage son cried his eyes out. He wanted his dog to be kept alive, at least until he graduated, and went off to college (which was only another 6 more months). The staff was not very understanding, and the (new) doctor would not even take the time to speak to me. more

Caring staff, excellent grooming services 7/29/2005

I've taken our black lab and her sisters (well, they are two kittens - but still sisters!) to this clinic, and had good experiences overall. As with any animal hospital, the cost for basic things like shots is higher than going to the animal shelter, i.e., Lied - but it is more convenient. They are good with making and keeping appointment times, and the staff is very caring and gentle. The dog groomer, Amy, is also excellent. My pup loves her! more
