If I could give zero stars I would. The heavy-set Asian guy that works behind the counter has the WORST attitude I've encountered in customer service in a while. When I stopped by to return some hangars (for someone else's use) from previous cleaning service, he just grunted at me. I asked him if these were helpful and he said no they just recycle them, meanwhile the customer next to me asked another guy the same question and was told that they do.
I asked the heavy-set guy if they do in fact recycle and he said, ""well, sometimes we do."" I asked him why he told me they don't, when the other employee claims they do. Then suddenly he is screaming at me and when I ask him why he is raising his voice, he gets even louder. I calmly and politely remind him that I am a paying customer (at least $25/week for the past 2 years) and I shouldn't be spoken to in this way. He then elevates his tirade to scream, ""how am I speaking to you"". It was so bad that another customer walked out, and a further one stopped to say that she worked at a laundering service for 25 years (in customer service) and would NEVER speak to a customer like that.
The guy wasn't getting it. I told him I wouldn't be returning ever AND that I would certainly share what had happened.
To add insult to injury, they mess up the alterations - I wouldn't mention this at all (people make mistakes after all), but since the burly guy acted like such an ungrateful jerk, I'll point this out as well.
I'm thinking I had the same counter person as the previous poster dated 5/2/11.
Just cross the street to the east side of Vanderbilt and go to the other cleaners - at least they aren't rude to their customers!
