We used Cardaro's this week for the visitation and burial services of our mother. From the first meeting with Joe we were immediately treated as if we were very important to him. He immediately went to Pittsburgh to picked up our mother from the ICU so she didn't have to go to the hospital morgue. She was very swollen with CHF at her death but when we saw her the first night of the viewing she looked more beautiful than she has in years. The funeral home is beautiful with lots of room for even larger families. The valet parking attendants and greeter at the door were so nice. We had 11 small children and the staff never got upset with them no matter how much of a bother they were at times. Mr Cardaro was very accomidating in letting us switch around viewing times to allow our family to be there both days. He also had no problem rearranging things so a slide show presentation could be set up. He was very honest with us about what was actually needed and gave us very low cost options for caskets and vaults. He also handed us a catalog of 300+ caskets unstead of just showing us a few in a room to choose from. We were notified of all the major steps of the process and even given information to help us in other aspects such as life insurance. Everything was so beautiful especially the dove release at the cemetary. Last year we had used another local funeral home for my grandma and paid twice as much and didn't recieve half the service. Even though the total cost of the funeral was under 5,0000 dollars including everything it would have easily been worth paying 20,000.
