My daughter's car experienced a blow-out on Interstate Rt. 65 near Lafayette, Indiana. AAA towed the car to Car-X (there was no spare tire). We called them at 7:30 AM the next day. They installed a new tire (for less than my daughter was quoted) and had her on her way by 9:30 AM. My daughter said the service writer and the repair person were clean, courteous, and helpful. Dropped the car off for a wheel alignment, left it for THREE days with them. I got a call on the third day that the car was ready, so I walked the hour to the shop. After driving for a minute it was very obvious that they didn?t do the work. I went back to complain and got some smart mouth saying that the job was done and that he saw the mechanic working on it and that I didn?t know what I was talking about. After speaking to the manager he admitted that the work wasn?t done. They wanted me to leave the car with them for A WEEK and that they will get to it when they could. I requested my money back.\r \r They are a bunch of thieves, they charge you for work they do not do.\r \r Buyer Beware. more

Their price is about the same as the local competitors. I think they are just another honest business that is trying to look out for the best interests of their customers (although the same thing can be said about some of their competitors.)\r \r I took my car in for a axle replacement. A competitor's price was around $200. CarX was about $190. I chose CarX because of the comfort that I had from taking my car there before. Before doing the work they checked my car's history and discovered that the part I wanted to replace was still under a warranty with them. I had totally forgotten that. On the negative side, a part they sold failed while still under warranty. (But it happens with every company. In fact I suspect all the local repair shops buy their parts from the same wholesalers.) However, it's nice when a company cheerfully honors their warranty. And, it's even better when they inform you about a warranty you forgot about. Customer paid almost $1900, made more than 3 visits and their mechanics still didn't know what was wrong with the car. Midas fixed the problem after 1 visit ~ cost $248.\r \r Their pricing was higher than at least 3 other competitors also ~ definitely need to watch out for this business!!! more

these guys know what it is to be for a person having his car out of service for even a day. they promise to fix your car in a matter of hours no matter how complicated the problem is. they keep up the promise as said. i have never seen them having my cars overnight for service. the only thing is that they are priced a bit at the higher side, but that is expected. if you want something fixed at a leisurely pace avoid this place but for everything else this is the place to be at. more

I went to check my air conditioner once this summer. They were nice, and later told me that my car's A/C is the problem of the compressor. That will cost a lot of money to fix it. So I didn't fix it. But they are still good to my opinion. more

My 12 year old car sure acts its age. When my exhaust fell off (rusted out) they replaced the whole thing (labor included) for about the same price I could have paid for just the parts. How can you beat that! more
