Do not bring your child here 4/4/2019

When I first came to camp when I was five, the staff there were really nice and understanding but after a couple of years, as they got new staff and counselor, they started to become more unfair towards other campers. None of the staff cared if people were being rude to me or took my lunch, but did something if someone tattled on me. I have seen lots of spiders and other bugs in the bathrooms and I've complained but never done anything. The staff there are overprotective and they also stalk you. Do not bring your child to Camp Patterson. more

special needs camp, great fun 8/5/2005

My child was lucky enough to get a week at Camp Patterson this summer. This camp, that features regularly abled kids and special needs kids, was such a positive experience for him. He was nervous to attend and, after his week was over, sad to see it end. He learned to ride in a canoe, bowled, danced, did arts and crafts and of course, swam in Silver Lake (life jackets required if swimming cannot be proven). The camp ran Monday through Friday from 10am-3pm and cost $85. It was well worth it. He felt at ease, comfortable with his disabilities and the counselors were encouraging and helpful. more
