University Mall is a disgrace to malls! 4/16/2006

I am surprised the University Mall has not gone out of business. I think the only reason people even walk through it is because they are going to Southern Season. The Dillard's is the only store I've even heard of, and other small shops look like gift shops in the mountains. If they had better stores, they would make a lot of money being so close to the university. more

This is NOT a mall 4/5/2006

I really can't stand University Mall. I know others find it charming or quaint, but I think it is disgusting and depressing. It is super old, so it looks dingy. There are very few stores, and the ones that are there are fairly lame. Who wants to go to a mall that hosts a Roses?! It's very strange. I think I might like the place better if it had a major facelift, but I will continue to avoid it until then. more

Small Mall With Local Shops 2/3/2006

University Mall is a small mall in Chapel Hill. It is home to A Southern Season, a snazzy market and restaurant, a Chick-Fil-A, a Kerr drugstore and several local mom and pop shops, including a book store, a jewelry store, a kitchen gadget store, several clothing shops and a hodgepodge accessory store with the zaniest items I have ever seen. more
