Camarillo Car Care has always provided good service and pleasant people. My car did not get quite fixed this trip, but the problem turned out to be a bit more complex than expected and I did not have time to leave it for further diagnosis--the car's fault, not theirs. I'll be back to get the job done when I can leave the car. more

I can say nothing but good things about this company. I was afraid myself that I'd get the "oh, you really need this additional service speech" but I didn't. As a woman you can get really nervous about getting talked into something but they did only the work as requested and my car has run beautifully since. Pros: Shuttle service, kind, fair Cons: none more

I should've known that a mechanic who has the $ to pay for TV commericals is making a lot of money at the expense of customers. They are slick salesmen who assume that we know nothing about our own cars, and try to sell you on everything. Do not trust them, they will rip you off. I've worked on cars for years and have known trusted mechanics for years, and it is easy to tell when they use Scare Tactics to con you into spending a ton of money. Go elsewhere to avoid being cheated. I got second opinions from another mechanic who agreed that these guys just want to take your $$$! The only reason I wanted to put this review here was to warn other innocent people before they also become victims.... They failed a routine service and were more expensive than a dealership!!!! I went to Camarillo Car Center based on AAA recommendation and received a $1300 botched job. -Requested complete hose replacement on a 10 year old Ford. Old hoses were in good shape, but I wanted to take care of my vehicle (which was running fine). Had multiple leaks!!! They tried to honor their warrantee, but vehicle continued to leak coolant after two re-inspections. Went to Ford dealer, and learned every hose connection was leaking. Dealer tightened them - everything is fine (for another $200). This is car maintenance 101 guys - boo on you! more
