They write reviews for themselves to boost ratings. They will lie, butter you up, guilt trip, and neglect to mention hidden fees. You only get an hour of work for the basic/beginner classes, and then try to convince you to join their special clubs, citing ""prestige"" that is non-existent.\r \r Expect to feel like all they want is your money, because it's true. The additional fees are rampant, and as much as Master C wants to say his peers are worse, they're not. Want to stop going? Too bad. 1 year contract and endless run-arounds by Master C, and you're stuck. You don't get what you pay for. It's not worth the time, money, or contractual obligation. Save yourself some time and find somewhere that still values teaching/skill over making quick bucks. more

I am a 34 year old married, father of a 5yr old and 4yr old (boy & girl) who is very concerned about their safety as well as my wife - simply for the fact we live in an unpredictable world. I'm also out of shape with poor conditioning after years of sedentary office/computer work. Martial Arts has always been intriguing to me but I've never been exposed to it and, at 34, was a bit hesitant to subject myself to something more physically demanding than I could handle.
