You've never heard of Cafe del Rio. That's because it's a tiny little place hidden away in the mountains of Virginia City, past the tourist strip. They used to be located in Carson City but moved in the last few years. The restaurant is owned by a couple who are gourmet chefs. Their recipes are unlike anything you will ever taste! They are all unique and breathtakingly delicious! The menu is southwest-based, with rich flavors and decadent sauces. They offer things like, my favorite, the Santa Fe Stacked, which is tortillas stacked with black beans, rice, cheese, chicken or beef, and topped with an egg and signature sauces. Heaven! The prices are also great. And I know what you're thinking - Virginia City is so far way! But I promise you: the drive is worth it for Cafe del Rio!
