Love ..love this place although I avoid this area like the plague if the weather is bad..because there is NEVER and I mean NEVER a parking space within even 1000 ft near the place. if weather is decent don't really mind walking... Pros: everything in the bakery..after finally walking through the door may want to stay a while:-) Cons: PARKING,PARKING,PARKING,Whomever designed this shopping center must've been on the door out for retirement. This guy, thats who!! I just can't get enough of this place. I live for their scrumptious cupcakes slathered in sweet, smooth, and sensuous buttercream frosting. Their gooey butter cakes are goo-rific, and their turtle brownies taste just like real turtles (I think they use imitation turtle extract, though)!! One of my favorite items has to be the Hawaiian Barbecue Flatbread, piled high with tender, juicy pig-flesh and sweet pineapple chunks. It'll make you s!ap your mama (careful though, my mama s!apped me back, tee hee). My favorite dish has got to be the Signiature Salad!! It is sprinkled with a cornucopia of fruits and nuts fit for Zeus himself! Cafe Carolina is superfantastic in every way!! This place has lines out the door! My favorite item? Let's talk about cupcakes shall we? Large and moist cupcakes with oodles of yummy buttercream frosting just slathered on...... I normally drop by each week-end for a box of ""made from scratch"" muffins, but plan to arrive right when they open the doors as all of their bakery goods go quickly. I recently moved here from Florida and let me tell you...this place is great :) I once was a Panera girl but not anymore. The food there (especially the salads and paninis) are so fresh and full of flavor. And the dessert items just melt in your mouth-YUM!!! The staff there is quick to help and the ambiance is calm and relaxing. I've never seen the place dirty anytime I've been there. It's the kind of place you want to tell everyone about. Cafe Carolina offers highend salad taste in a comfortable family friendly environment. Seating is immediate, lines are quick and food is as well. The service is great and they are quick to fix any issues. In particular, the salads are incredible! The portion is enough for two salads and the pieces are all fresh and abundant. The Cafe Carolina and Bakery is the neatest little place to eat. My sister and I always meet here for a quick and delicious dinner. We have never been unhappy with the service or the meal. The sandwiches and salads are more than plentiful. Try the salad with the dried cranberries.. delicious. The restaurant is always clean and the staff courteous. The dessert are devine, especially the one with the melted chocolate in the center with a graham cracker type outside. I bought these for Easter dessert and served them with ice cream. One of the best places to meet friends for relaxed conversation and good food. Friendly staff is very accommodating to your preferences, and the ""Signature salad"" is wonderful. Suggestion with bakery items, it would be a very positive promotional plus to take out all partially hydrogenated sprays and shortenings as many others are doing. Parking is a challenge but worth it. Carolina Bakery is a great place to eat if you want great service, warm enviroment, and excellent food and a minimal cost. No matter how often I visit Cafe Carolina, I know I'll have a variety of choices and it will be delicious. BEST turtle brownie since Grandma's. Relaxed atmosphere and always courteous workers. Our family loves this place because of the variety and the freshness of the food. I love the salad with a ""million"" ingredients including fruit and nuts. Its served with a bit of sweet potato muffin (my dessert!) The sandwiches are delicious and generous, and the staff is always helpful and courteous. more
