This is my go to spot for all things chocolate. I love that everyone who works there knows about the products and can guide you to what you want. The sipping chocolate (dark of course) is the best I've ever had. Want to sample something - ASK! They're happy to open something up to try it. Learn to think of chocolate like a wine snob. You'll thank me. more

Good Stuff! 6/3/2010

I remember back when Starbucks came out with a drinking chocolate, and I recall that while it was good, it was not great. Cacao was different. Tasting like slightly thinned ganache, Cacao's drinking chocolate was indeed sublime. I actually stood sniffing it for about a minute before even taking my first sip, savoring the amazing rich aroma of the chocolate. Surprisingly, the small cup of chocolate was more than enough and I left feeling more than sated. Good stuff! more

i found this place not long after they opened! Pros: variety, next to Masu sushi, different, not a Hershey in sight! Cons: parking, location is in mid-street, not in my town, not open 24/7/365, not heaven just akin to it more

Wow! All I can say is I have never experienced chocolate until now. This place is fantastic! The wide variety of chocolate, in all forms, is top notch. This place carries simply the best quality chocolate from around the world. Kick your candy bars to the curb and indulge in REAL chocolate. I have never really given much thought to chocolate and was a little overwhelmed with the selection at first, but the employees were friendly and very knowledgeable. I'm glad I asked the employee for help. My boyfriend and I were able to taste samples of many of the chocolate bars and it was a really fantastic experience to taste the variety of flavors. Think wine tasting but with chocolate. But the real winner was the drinking chocolate - it was so rich the small size was enough for the two of us! Also, the confections in the case are to die for! Chocolate Heaven on Earth 12/3/2006

Run as fast as you can and order the ""dark drinking chocolate"". It's sheer bliss and I was trying to think of ways to justify ordering a second cup, then it struck me. Chocolate Nirvana 11/13/2006

My brother, niece and I stoped in for the first time on a Friday evening and I was so impressed with the presentation of excellent quality chocolates from around the world, and the incredible knowledge that these lovely owners shared with us. I never realized how much there is to choclate, much like a fine wine...oh, yes and the numerous samples with extensive explanations of each chocolate origin fueled my passion for this place. Thank goodness my business takes me often to Portland but I do hope they open one in Seattle. I am in love with this place. Pros: ambience, owners, quality, variety Cons: will strengthen addiction to chocolate more
