Best

After a couple U-turns on Chandler ( easy to miss in a shopping strip mall west of 44th st. ), we found no long waiting line at CKs at 7 P.M. on Valentine's day eve 2010. The wait...

Worst

We went once, and it was okay. We went a second time, and it was the last time. \r \r The first time there were multiple members of the wait staff assisting us and none of them ...

A great sports bar 6/8/2010

I just realized that most of my reviews are bars. Sad. Anyway, this bar is above average. \r \r I used to be a superfan for the CK's softball team which, ironically, had zero CK's employees on it. \r \r After each game, everybody would go back to CK's for food & booze, and we would either relish the win, or avoid talking about the loss. This was generally around 9pm. The place was ALWAYS packed at that time, and the band was usually in full swing, or about to be. Rolling with team CK's, luckily, meant instant seating, fast service, several free pitchers and discounted food. \r \r In my dozens of visits to CK's, there have also been plenty that were not revolving around the ball team so for those, I can give an honest review. \r \r Tons of bar - the thing is probably 50 ft long. The food is well above average for what I would call a bar. Only once can I recall having something that was not as tasty as I would have expected. They have some unique wing flavors too, so give those a try. Good mix of ages in the crowd -- plenty of under 40's, plenty of 40+, and it's even a decent place to take the family. There are video games and shuffle board in the back, and pool tables on the way out to the large patio. TVs are everywhere, including several big-screens to keep you occupied during the game. \r \r They have live music every week, and there are always a lot of people dancing when the band gets fired up. This, of course, makes it a VERY loud place at night, so if you're there late on Fridays, don't expect things to be calm & quiet. \r \r Parking right there at CK's can be difficult but it's detached from the end of a long strip mall, so just look a little farther away than right in front of the place, and you'll have no problem finding a spot. Honestly people, it's OK to walk 100 ft. Pros: Beer selection, entertainment, large covered patio Cons: They can get really busy sometimes more

Great service and food after hours 2/15/2010

After a couple U-turns on Chandler ( easy to miss in a shopping strip mall west of 44th st. ), we found no long waiting line at CKs at 7 P.M. on Valentine's day eve 2010. The waitress got our orders right, and brought them before they got cold. Plenty to see with multiple TVs showing sports and general entertainment. Do not be fooled if your waitress has light-colored hair piled up high- she has more brains than the cliche would give her credit for. Better selection than Applebee's nearby, without the crowd. Pros: BBQ Sandwich more

Great all around!!!! 5/21/2008

I was visiting from Ohio and heard it was a great place to go (from our hotel concierge)...so we tried it. What a lucky find! Not only was the service friendly and the food tasty, but the atmosphere was perfect and they had GREAT drink specials. We had dinner on the patio and stayed for the band. It was a very inviting place and it felt like everyone knew each other. They treated us like regular customers...we will definitely be back when we return to Arizona!! Pros: Service, Food, Drink Specials, Patio Cons: Parking was tight more

Terrible. 12/1/2007

We went once, and it was okay. We went a second time, and it was the last time. \r \r The first time there were multiple members of the wait staff assisting us and none of them seemed to communicate. Despite all this attention, they still messed up the order and were not apologetic about it. They were also unable to fill simple condiment requests (like ketchup). The food was okay and we thought the menu was promising overall, so... We thought it was a fluke and waited a couple weeks to return. \r \r The second time was a disaster. We got seated and there were puddles of water on the ground that hadn't been swept away from recent rain. The waitress brought us our drinks after about 5 minutes, but then didn't return to take our order for at least 20. As we waited, the area we were sitting in gained two more tables (only two prior to us, for a grand total of five), and both other tables got their orders in - alas, the waitress still had not returned to our table for anything. \r \r Not only was it not busy by any stretch of the imagination, but then the waitress proceeded to have a long conversation about Texas with the table right beside us, and she made eye contact with both of us several times and didn't even acknowledge that we still had menus and no order in. We needed to eat there in less than an hour and after burning at least 20 minutes waiting on nothing, we had met our limit. We were out of time and got up and left. As we were walking out, the waitress (still in her deep conversation with the strangers at the Texas table) said ""have a good night guys"" and then turned to Texas table and said ""I must have p-ss-d them off."" Yeppers.\r \r Finally, parking is horrible. Both times we came there were apparently open spots, but upon further inspection, they were unparkable - everyone there doubleparks. We mentioned it to the hostess, and she brushed it off. \r \r No thanks. Not going back ever again. Pros: Menu looked good. Unfortunately, it makes no difference. Cons: Parking, service, attitude, service, upkeep, service. more

Great beer (cold & fresh) and superb menu 7/9/2006

We regularly visit Phoenix from the UK and make a point of going to Cks the boneless wings are very good, the staff very friendly and the beer nice and cold, nothing nicer than sitting out on their patio area enjoying a cold Coors lite.\r Will be there in Sept hopefully Pros: Cold beer, excellant menu nice to play pool in a friendly bar Cons: some of the basket dishes are stingy on portion size more

Best Food, Fun and Atmosphere 7/7/2006

Whenever my wife Ethel and our children, Phil and Paulene, visit our family in Arizona, we make repeated trips to CK's. The food is great and the patio is so much fun.\r \r Cant wait to return to Arizona and CK's more
