Last week my wife and I took one of the many cooking classes they have at CG appliance. We both really enjoyed it. We had been looking at a few options for taking cooking classes and when we saw an ad in the paper for theirs we decided to try it out since it was close to where we live.Here's why we liked it so much(and we plan on taking other classes too): 1Hands on class- this was a 3 hour class on appetizers and tapas. There were about 6 different things we made that night and they were all really good. They send you home with copies of all the recipes. 2- Fun- the chef who teaches the class is a real nice guy and easy to work with. He is knowledgable about the recipes, how to use the ""tools"" of the kitchen and keep things moving well. 3-Lots of different classes- This class was just what I was hoping it would be and I'm planning on taking about 8-10 classes in the future. There are about 20(?) different classes to choose from.From the research I did the prices seem pretty reasonable and their is no long term commitment. They also have free parking and offered a 40% discount (during the class) on kitchen ware that they sell . (There was no pressure to by anything.) We also found a coupon in the Chronicle for ""buy one class-get one free"" so all in all If you're thinking of taking some cooking classes you should check them out. more

I ordered my third Whirlpool coin operated machine from Roger who quickly and politely processed the order. It does not get any better than this....the next day I got the new machine delivered and the old machine removed. The delivery men were again very polite, friendly and helpful. more

I order all of my appliances for my buildings from CG. One good thing about them is that they deliver , install and haul away any old appliances. I've never had a problem with them in the past. Cyndi has always been extremely helpful too! more

I ordered ALL my appliances from Nate Freedman at CG Appliance in Daly City. I went to them because we wanted the Thermador Freedom Collection and, of all the authorized distributors in the area, Nate was the easiest to talk to. He had excellent follow up while I was trying to figure out which distributor to go with, without being pushy. During the entire process of picking out each appliance (we knew we wanted the Freedom Collection, but had no idea what else we wanted), Nate was courteous and easy to talk to. He answered every question I had, provided insight beyond what I asked, and, if he didn't have an answer to something, would research it and get back to me. Some of the items we purchased actually had rebates available. Nate didn't just give me the forms to fill out, he filled them out and sent them in for me! There have been a few problems with the appliances that we purchased (two of the door panels were scratched when they arrived and the ice maker didn't work), but Nate has been all over it in getting them repaired/replaced. Last night I found out that Expo is now carrying the Thermador brand as well as DCS, which is what our outdoor BBQ will be. Despite the likely discounted prices, I'm going through Nate at CG Appliance. As proven with the top of the line interior doors I special ordered through Home Depot, price is NOT everything. I'm now more than happy to give my business to someone who is going to provide excellent customer service and follow up than to try to save a few bucks and have a nightmare on my hands in the end. more

This place is one of the most professional place I've worked with for office appliances. They have all the latest appliances and can accomodate for your needs. They're professional and will get the job done for you on the time they say they will, and with that...you learn that if a company exudes integrity, so it their service and support. I've only worked directly through phone to contact them, but they have been nothing but accomodating. more

I really wanted to buy our washer and dryer from CG Appliance. When I called the store to find out if they carried a particular washer and dryer set, they took my name and number down and called me back with the information. I went into the store a few days later and Nate, the sales associate, was able to to recommend a better (and less expensive) set than the one I was originally interested in. He spent a good 20 minutes talking to us about details of the machines and helped us figure out the best way to set everything up. The price he quoted us was very competitive and didn't pressure us into making the sale. Ultimately, we purchased our washer and dryer from Sears, as there was a big Memorial Day sale going on and the set ended up being about $300 cheaper than CG Appliance. Had Sears not been running that sale then, we would've purchased from CG Appliance. I would definitely recommend you check out the store when you're shopping around for your appliances. They carry great brands (Viking, Wolf), the staff really knows their stuff and their prices are competitive.Also, in a few months, they'll start offering cooking classes in their store! I will definitely be checking those out... more

My friend just bought a condo in downtown SF, and needed a fridge by Bosch. I called Nate and he took the time to talk with me about what the differences were between the models, etc..... When we arrived, Cindy came right over to offer her time- and even though we wanted to wait for Nate, was gracious enough to advise us about the stackables by Bosch and why they were the best choice for my friend. As it turned out- Bosch had dropped the company currently making the refrigerator/ freezers they offer, and Nate gave my friend a great offer all around- cutting the price wherever possible (no old appliances to remove, etc.....). The price was more than fair. They work as a team, and are very consumer focused. In comparison to other places, we felt taken care of and really heard. Hats off to Nate and Cindy for making this arduous task much easier more

I purchased $2000.00 dishwasher form C&G and had them install. The price was okay, I picked them for how local they were not price. It took a group of 5 to install and between them they couldn't get it right. They merely rigged it to worked and told me it was installed. They didn;t hook it to hot water, the used to small of plumbing fittings that caused problems, and failed to install the metal plate between the dishwasher and counter top to portect the counter. They won't fix it or refund the install so we can have someone else fix, They are giving us complete run around, and won't return phone call. These people are a joke and I have filed comlaints to a higher place as it seems to be my only recourse. I would have been happy if they just came out and fixed and added missing parts but they want several hundred dollars to fix heir mistake. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND STAYING AWAY FROM C&G!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! more
