what a change 2/15/2004

All the new furniture, lighting, and textiles that have been brought in are like a breathe of fresh air. Everything is of such high quality and affordability! Plus the customer service has greatly increased, and yet they still are not pushy in the least. I love the fact that they have vignettes set up so that you can relate to the furniture and accessories as if they were in your own home. Must see if you haven't been in the last six months. Plus I heard that they will have a buyable website in the springtime. Also, they are opening another store on North Ave. in the summer. Great news! Just watch out for the crowds on weekends, especially with Trader Joe's next store. Pros: inexpensive, visual displays Cons: , crowded on weekends more

Still over-priced 6/23/2002

I liked the selection and the items were overall very interesting. But, I thought CB2 was a "Scaled-down" version of Crate & Barrel. If that's the case, they should "scale-down" the prices too. Metal shelves that you can customize to your needs costs well over $150 (just for a basic set, nothing fancy). There are the same shelves (just not customizable) at Target for $70. But CB2 has a lot of interesting furniture for all over the house, such as bedroom, kitchen and bathroom. There are also knick-knacks and such. Pros: variety Cons: prices more

Editorial
  • In Short
The building's contemporary design matches its funky products, which are geared toward an ultrahip urban crowd with good taste. If you're looking for trendy fundamentals, you'll find plenty: spatulas, trash cans, stackable drawers, platters, CD holders and shower caddies. What isn't plastic is bound to be glass, chrome or stainless steel. For an urban interior, pick up towel racks, wine racks, picture frames, utensils and more. Simple, high-quality glassware and flatware sets your table respectably.
