I have lived in sterling estates for the past 9 yrs and I have had nothing but problems with everything from gng bangers to management. I would recommend to anyone that they STAY OUT of this community!! They spend so much money on making their office a multi-million dollar office, but what have they done for the actual residents that PAY to make all that possible for them?? NOTHING! They built a new playground which is great for the residents that have small children, but most of the residents here dont. They have been promising a new olympic sized swimming pool for the past 4 years that we have yet to see...and even if we did see one half the residents wouldnt be allowed a pass for the pool. You have to have a ZERO balance with the office on your lot rent and everything else in order to get a pass and at the price they charge for lot rent, which by the way increases EVERY YEAR, not many can afford to even enjoy the run-down half-the time-shut down by the health dept swimming pool that they do have here. The management refuses to let the residents know about problems, SERIOUS problems that occur in the park. They keep everything under wraps. As residents I feel we have a right to know that someone got stabbed, shot or murdered right in out SECURE community where we all live and have children. Cars get broken into all the time, lawn furniture stolen right off your deck, kids that vandalize your property or decorations that you have on your property and management does nothing about it. Moving sounds like an option doesnt it? Think again because in order to keep up with the increasing lot rent there is no room for ""saving your dollars"" to get out. Thats the reason that most residents are forced to abandon their homes here that they have lived in for years. Take my advice, I have lived here 9 years and wish I had never layed eyes on this place. SOME PEOPLE MAY THINK? ITS TRASH WELL !ITS NOT HAVE YOU PEOPLE BEEN THEIR LATLEY. I HAS HAD SOME CHANGES AND ITS GOTTEN CLEANER. THEY BUILT A PARK AND SOME MAIL BOXES ANT THE BEGIN OF WALNUT. WHO CARES IF ITS NOT CATOLOG PERFECT. THE PEOPLE WHO SAY ITS POOR MAITNENCE AND POOR QUALITLY ARE THE STUPIDIST PEOPLE EVER. THE RENT MIGHT BE HIGH BUT THEY PLAN ON REBUILDING ALL THE TRAILERS. !!!!SO PULL YOUR HEADS OUT OF YOU BUTTS AND GO CHECK IT OUT !!!!!!.AND IF YOU DONT GO THEN JUST SHUT YOUR MOUTH ABOUT YOUR OPINION OF STERLING ESTATES Pros: NICE PEOPLE more

I lived in Sterling Estates for 3 years in the mid 90's, & I did not like it at all. Thankfully, I've gotten out of there since, but unfortunately my two daughters still live there w/ their mother who is the Property Manager. I still have friends who also live there & aren't too happy, & they complain about the abandoned trailers, the young punks that walk around, & how the cost of rent has increased drastically. I think it was much better then compared to now because there's so many empty spaces, & it's a hassel just to get into the front gates. That really boggles my mind, because what's the senst of having a gated community in a trailer park?? These aren't couple hundred thousand dollar homes, they're trailers! And what is so hypocritical is that you have this beautiful Club House w/ nice landscaping, yet you drive further into the park & it looks like a hell hole! It's very deceiving on the outside. I think they should've taken some of that money & cleaned the place up or lowered the rent. You might get more people to occupy the empty lots. My advice to whomever lives there, save up your dollars & go buy an actual house. You figure the amount you pay on your trailer & the cost of rent equals a mortgage on a house. Trailers depreciate in value just like an automobile & you also don't have the advantage of claiming your property come tax season. You're just making the owner gain more money. Pros: Close to the expressway Cons: High rent, poor management, & poor maintenance. more

I agree with the other review. Avoid this park. They keep raising the rent but not bettering anything. Gated community?? yeah only between the times that the gate gets broken. The gates are broken at least once a day. Teenagers are walking around causing trouble all hours of the night. Cars get broken into, houses that are not lived in get broken into by the teenagers and trashed. This is not a nice park by any means. The managers do nothing about all the trouble they think the little bit of things they do is going to make it worth the rent.I do not think so!! more

I lived in sterling estatesfor 11 years, the first few years were great. Then new management took over.To put it simple, we have open gas lines going across the yards, just look for yourself at 836 Victory lane. You also have wannna be cops who harrass people for no reason at all.You also had a cop convicted of molesting a 14 year girl. You have maintaintenace people who show up whenever they want. This is no place to raise your children. Nothihg but gangbangers and punks who think their bad but their not, and people killing themselves. Ask yourself this question , do you really want to live here. Cons: not recommended more
