I am disabled, have an older car with an non-working gas gauge. I use the trip odometer to monitor my miles in between fill-ups. The last time I purchased gas I only had 420 on me. I had forgotten to monitor the miles at only half the miles. I ran out of gas on the expressway. The police came out, called Beyers and drove me to my grandson's football game. As soon as the game was over, My son, who had been working on the field drove me to get the car. Not much over an hour. This past yr I fractured 13 bones, was diagnosed with breast cancer, been bleeding for 3 months and my L side is partially paralyzed. I am on food stamps and to say the least, very tight on my financial funds since most of my medication is not covered. I still volunteer in every capacity on numerous disability groups. I do what I can for others. I politely asked them if they could waive the $20 storage fee since they already received $85 for the towing. The girl very flatly refused. She was very rude and didn't seem to have a sympathetic bone in her body. She obviously has never been disabled or had to suffer unbearably because she did not have enough money to pay for her medications. I asked several times to talk to the supervisor but she said there was no one else thee to talk to. She kept going on and on about HER expenses. I got so tired about HER complaining I had to hang up. Maybe some day she will realize how much $20 means when you are in pain and unable to afford your own meds.
