My brother took me to the emergency room for stroke symptoms; I lost the ability to talk. A nurse took my vitals, and had me sit on a table alone for a little over an hour. I overheard a meaningless conversation between four doctors around the corner that lasted the entirety, and when the nurse returned, she simply expressed her disinterest in running any tests since the symptoms had gone away. When I asked her if it was normal to lose control of one's speech, she said no, not at all, but offered no possible explaination for why it happened, though she still was eager to push me out the door and I received a $90.00 bill for this complete waste of time.
