Love - hate relationship 8/2/2011

Good: good selection of ethnic foods; low price on a gallon of milk; store brands; nice bakery; good selection of inexpensive meats, especially in the mark-down bin. There's also marked -down veggies/fruits and bakery.. Bad: VERY unfriendly and often rude employees and manager; seems like there's little happiness there. Poor selection of organic veggies. Posting of prices is very inconsistent, especially on new displays.. Improvements: A MUCH more friendly and welcoming attitude to the customers; for the manager to actually respond and DO what the customer suggests when it's reasonable ("Please put the price on that display of food") -- instead of continuing (for over 20") his aimless chat with the not-busy bank employee! More customer-friendly return policy on un-opened items: currently only 7 days, and with receipt. I can understand they don't want to be taken advantage of, but this is a pretty limited return time.. Other: There's a Redbox movie rental out front, and a little plant nursery in the parking lot for most of the spring and summer.. more

Buttera Review 9/19/2010

Price may seem to be low but the quality of products and produce is very cheap. What makes it worse is that the staff is EXTREMELY incompetent and RUDE. Badly in need of training specially in the matters of customer service as they have attitude problems (let alone any courtesy). Watch out of ill mannered and plainly rude "ashley" and the manager ronaldo. I wont be surprised if they go out of business for losing repeat customers. HORRIBLE experience. more

International Options, Good Prices 2/18/2006

Butera is the best grocery store in the area for authentic Mexican cuisine, but it all also has a wide variety of Asian rarities. Fresh meats and produce are generally very well priced. Not everything is a steal, but they usually have the cheaper options available, like in the case of frozen vegetables. more

Great supermarket if you're not in a hurry 1/27/2006

Butera Market is a hidden gem of a supermarket. Though the Muzak and definitively older crowd that frequents the market might discourage the younger shopper, I challenge you to find a grocery store with fresher produce and meat or a better selection of international foods. Aside from their deli/meats, bakery, and produce, pickings' are slim. Don't expect to find much selection in the frozen foods section or personal hygiene aisle. Also, expect to wait a LONG time to check out. They seem to have two cashiers at any given time on the registers. Go when you're not in a hurry to check out. They also don't have a frequent shopper's program, so no discount card is needed. more

this supermarket has a wide varity of imported foods from all around the world and very resonable prices they have great deals everyday and and sell milk for the low low price of 1.99 a gallon everyday the deli and bakery offer a wide verity of rare foods and even sell baked goods made everyday fresh the bakery will bake just about any cake for that special occasion and there is even a charter one check out my charter one review for more about that more
