STAY AWAY AT ALL COST 6/13/2011

This company is a joke.....what a rip off. Any good rating on here or anywhere on the web is an inside job. Please do your research and don't use this company at all cost. They have an endless contract...you continue to pay when you switch even though they aren't monitoring your alarm. Whey won't respond to phone calls and then send you to collections. What a blanking joke. PLEASE PASS THIS ON TO ANYONE LOOKING AT ALARM COMPANIES more

This company is a bunch of crooks!!! 4/5/2011

Do not sign up with this company. The sales person first told me that I am obligated to sign a 3 year term contract with them which is what I agreed to. In no way did they tell me that they will auto renew the contract. You have to notify them 60 days prior to the ending of the contract or they will auto renew without even letting you know. (Who remebers that after 3 years and that is not what I agreed to) When I tried to cancel after almost 5 years, they told me, I am obligated to stay with them for another year and a half. That is unethical business practice. No company even cell phone companies will ""auto-renew"" a contract. What advantage is it to a consumer to renew a contract with them? They even kept raising their monthly price. I suspect the ""5 star"" reviews here are people paid by the company to offset the bad reviews. Check out the BBB website, you will see that they have the most complaints out of any alarm companies (182 for just the last 36 months). This company will do anything to keep taking your money; so consumer beware of their underhanded practices. more

They love to strong arm people 3/12/2011

Please save yourself headaches. They dont have license in my State of Texas. The recently applied for one. I was member in 2002 to late 2010, because I was not using my alarm all of the time. I found out when I was trying to close my account they told me that they had lost my phone number and were not monitoring my house. They have license in Florida and Pa. and they are working all over the United States. They want me to pay for one year when they were not monitoring my system the year. I have to pay because the contract automatically renews. What nonsense please stay away from them. Join me on the Website I start to tell the whole Country not to use them. more

Good experience all around? 8/17/2010

I read some of the reviews below and was prepared for a battle over my contract. That was not my experience at all. I entered into a 3 year agreement with automatic renewal? I can?t claim ignorance, I read the contract, and I knew what I was getting into. It?s the same as a cell phone contract. Recently, my job had to relocate me to a different state and I needed to cancel my service? unfortunately I did not have the foresight that a move was on the horizon when my contract renewed 3 months earlier for another 3 years. I called in ready to claim that I didn?t know, that I have been a loyal, good paying customer for 3 years and that they should let me out? etc. I had all the arguments ready. I called in and explained my situation. After being asked a few questions about trying to get the new home owner, moving my system, etc? (things I quite frankly did not have time to think about at the time) ? the extremely pleasant rep just said that I need to fax my notice in with my signature and she would take care of it for me! She thanked me for being a loyal customer? etc. I didn?t believe her at first and questioned all of these negative reviews. Apparently, at the start of 2010 they changed their policy with respect to holding people to their renewals. From what I gathered? the number of accounts held by enforcing the contracts was not worth the loss of the good will gained from working with their customers (my words, not hers). I faxed the cancel notice and my monitoring was discontinued. I did receive a follow call from a rep to see if there was anything further that they could do? I ended up recommending them to the new homeowner, AND after a few months of getting settled into my new place I EVEN CALLED THEM BACK to set up a system. I guess I was fortunate that my move happened in 2010 and they had new policies in place. more

Worst Experience Ever- Do not use this company 12/14/2009

So My Father died and my mom sold the house- the one with the alarm system- and called to cancel the contract. They played phone tag with her for two weeks only to tell her that the contract had automatically renewed and he could no longer opt out of it. (She would have had to do that 2 weeks ago, in writing) It is now TWO and A HALF months later, they still haven't turned the service off at the old house, and they are still billing her. She cannot get out of the contract, and they claim they cannot help her for 36 months. These people are awful. They harass her to make payments on an alarm for a house that she no longer owns, and the alarm constantly goes off at the new house so the montitoring service calls to tell her. The new owners want it gone, my mom doesn't want to pay it. Oh, and by the way, they don't send renewal notices. Cons: Will Not let you out of your contract more

Great company to do business with 6/8/2009

I had a service issue a couple of months back and I called and spoked to a service rep that was able to walk me through my alarm issue. I was so thankful that they saved me a service a call. Pros: Me and my family feel secure, pricing more

Worst Alarm Company Ever!!! 9/26/2008

The people that come around to sign you up for this service are so nice. When they come out to install your system they are friendly and very helpful. Once you have signed your contract and have a problem, watch out!!!! The customer service agents are awful. They are either ignorant or keep giving you the wrong answers purposely to keep stringing you along. My alarm system no longer worked because it was analog as apposed to digital and I could not afford to buy the new backup which would have cost me around $300 plus the cost of installation around $200. I was not allowed to end my current contract and actually ended up signing a new 3 year contract in order to get the new system at no cost. My only other option would have been to continue paying for a nonworking system for the remainder of my contract which was two years. I definitely did not want to sign another contract but what option did they leave me? If someone comes to your home to sign you up, I suggest slamming the door in their face! more

Most HORRIBLE Home alarm service available! 10/19/2007

Since they took over our alarm service, it has not worked. Still charging monthly services fees. When call for technical assistance to try to fix, wait on hold for 15-20 minutes before someone answers to be put on hold again and then they tell you, you must have tech service provider come out for $100 service fee. When ask for supervisor, put on hold again for 10 minutes and get voicmail and never a call back. Pros: Absolutely NONE Cons: Everything, system does not work, extremely long hold times for tech assists, the list goes on... more
