Amazing, Caring Place to Send Your Babies 8/3/2010

I have put my dogs in 3 different kennels and Burleys was by far the BEST EVER! The woman who owns and runs it is super sweet and she really cares about the dogs she takes care of. Our dogs got lots of exercise and social time with other dogs. She told us how our dogs played with other dogs, how they ate, etc. I could tell she really took the time to get to know our dogs and gave them the love and care they needed. My husband and I go to Hornings Hideout every year to see the String Cheese Incident. We will definitely put our dogs at Burley's in the years to come! Pros: Cage free option, dogs get exercise, social time, and love Cons: a little far from Portland but worth the drive! more

Dogs and I love Burley's and Wendy! 10/18/2009

My family is so grateful to have found Burley's; we can finally travel with the peace of mind that Wendy will give my dogs more than adequate play time and lots of love. The pet ""hotels"" that we have used in metro-Portland did not provide our dogs with enough stimulation and play time, probably resulting in increased anxiety and mischievousness. Burley's has acres of (enclosed) land for our dogs to play in. By limiting the number of dogs they watch, our dogs get plenty of one-on-one attention time with the family members. Although some may complain that the drive to Burley's is a little far, I think it's completely worth the quality of service and experience versus the city kennels where dogs only play indoors (plus, the drive is quite beautiful). Our facility is nestled on 10 scenic acres of beautifully wooded property in the west hills of Portland, but far enough away from the noise of the city to offer a serene and peaceful stay for all of our dogs. We are proud to offer a broad range of excellent services from boarding, pet sitting to obedience training. We know when our dogs are apart from us they may experience a certain level of stress. Here at Burley's Dog Ranch we board and care for no more than eight dogs at a time. This allows us to give extra individual loving attention that each dog needs throughout his or her stay with us. Our philosophy is that if we treat your dog as an extension of our own family, your dog will be much happier, less stress and more relaxed for a more enjoyable time while he or she is away from the family. We strive to see only happy tails here at the Burley's Dog Ranch.
