Buona Vita

This is such a great little spot on Main st. We had a great antipasti plate, the bread was fresh and warm, and the pizzas were perfect for sharing. It was nice to see a wine list with some variety in Park City; Morgan chardonnay, Beaux Freres pinot noir and a fantastic South American list too! Sit outside in the summer; great people watching over Main St. Tiramisu is not to be missed!!! more

Very surprised. Absolutely Wonderful! The only reason I rated 4 stars instead of 5 is for the ambiance. Although it is a white linen setting the rest of the restaurant does not measure up to the Food which was amazing! Italian is my favorite cuisine however I have struggled to find a truly amazing Italian restaurant since moving to Utah from Florida until now. I would recommend Buona Vita to all my friends and family...and have! The taste and quality of the ingredients is apparent even in a simple pasta dish....Delizioso!! Buona Vita and Ghidotti's are the absolute best Italian in this state. I will however disagree with some of the other users regarding price I consider $17 a little pricey for a pasta dish, forgetting you are in Park City of course. However, after you taste the food you see where the price difference as compared to say, a Macaroni Grill, is worth it. more

The newest best kept secret in Park City is the return to town of Buona Vita Ristorante. After a 3 year hiatus they have returned to town still owned and operated by Paola Bello and now with the added experience in the kitchen of Chef Nick Smurthwaite. Although the new location at the town bridge on lower Main Street is smaller, the ambiance,service, food quality, and mid priced menu, make it one of the best values in Park City and one of the only family friendly and affordable white tablecloth dining options. The appetizers are outstanding with the Picada Alla Tabla being our favorite , and the Caprese a close second; the salad selections are all unique and outstanding..As far as Pasta selections,many options to choose from with ourpersonal highlights being the Gnocchi Al Funghi, Alla Nona,and Gorgonzola Sacchettini topping the list....The biggest surprise for us was Chef Nick's Beef Short Rib which absolutely was melt in your mouth...we have told friends about it and they too were raving afterwards....The portions are plentiful no matter the selection so you will leave fully satiated and a long stroll up Main Street afterwards may be a necessary part of the evening...The dessert selections have been one of their trademarks over the years with their specialty Bindi Pasta line but you need to save room to fully enjoy...The return of Buona Vita to Main Street is a huge plus for the Park City dining experience so go enjoy more

Salads 4/10 Good greens and appetizing-sounding combinations, but both salads were very bland (Caesar dressing was 90% oil). We had to beg for pepper to liven them up. Entrees 6/10 Decent basic Italian fare. Chicken parm was slightly overcooked but ok (so maybe a 5 on that), and I had a spicy ravioli with roma tomatoes and olives. Coffee 5/10 The coffee was good, but the cream looked past its prime, and when we asked for a new one, they poured the top half of it into the trash and handed it back to us! Dessert 8/10 Very good tiramisu. Light and flavorful, well presented. Service 6/10 Nice enough, prompt except for the check. Oops the pepper non-incident. Oops the cream incident. Ambiance 6/10 Nice enough. Value 3/10 We were thinking cheap meal due to the Citysearch rating, but the total was $64 before tip, and we had no alcohol! Pros: very good tiramisu Cons: poor value, bland salads, inconsistent service more

All four of us at dinner had very good food. Note the restaurant has moved down the street on Heber across from the museum. more
