Horrible experience building with this company. Very unhappy with the quality of their work. I honestly don't understand how they have any positive reviews. We have spoken to other families in the Grand Rapids area who have similar horror stories. Very sad. Cannot recommend working with them. more

The best of the best 6/12/2019

Currently building a home with Buffum Homes in Grandville, and have had a great experience with their team. The project manager is knowledgeable, staff has helped answer all of our crazy questions, and they've accommodated our last minute requests... Nothing ever goes perfect in this world, but I've been pleasantly surprised with how our experience has been with Buffum so far! I figured working with a builder would be more difficult than it really is. Buffum Homes seems to make the process easy. We close on the house in about a month and we are beyond ecstatic to move in! :D more

Love my Buffum Built Home 6/7/2019

I built with them about 3 years ago and I LOVE my home. They worked with me on every detail and their quality for the dollar is unmatched. I’ve seen a couple complaints from others, but the overwhelming majority had good things to say, so I decided to build with them, and I’m SO glad I did! People compliment me on my front elevation that Buffum came up with for me all the time too!!! Thrilled Buffum customer right here :) more

Not good. 2/18/2019

I agree with other reviewers. We are deeply disappointed in the lack of quality and craftsmanship. Not to mention, Buffum Homes has some of the worst customer service we have ever encountered. I only gave 1 Star because zero was not an option. more

Awful 2/15/2019

We’ve had issue after issue in our Buffum Home. Most current one: foundation was not done properly causing water damage in basement. We’ve had plumbing issues, siding issues, furnace issues and now this. Home is less then 5 years old! Absolutely horrible experience. Even when our warranty was active, they were extremely difficult to work with. I am shocked they have any positive reviews. RUN! more

Buffum Builders Built Us A Quality Home 5/15/2018

Buffum Builders built our home in 2014. They were easy to work with and Steve our project manager was always there if we had any questions or changes that needed to be done. They build a very quality home, everything is top grade. If I was going to pick anything out that we did not care for it would be their choice in Jewell windows. I would recommend a better quality window. We would build another home with Buffum Builders without question. more

Horrible Company 8/1/2017

We have never had such a terrible time working with a company. Homes are cheaply built, they do not stand behind their work or honor the warranty. They do not respond to emails or phone calls to address concerns/problems in your home. Once they have your money you are on your own. I could never recommend this company. Awful work, awful people. more
