Budget Brakes

I got my brakes done here in January which cost about $380 but considering I had rotor damage etc it was a good price. When I took my car to get a tune-up last Friday (in July), I was told the front brakes needed to be replaced. So I took it back to Budget Brakes today and they inspected it and put new brakes on it for free. There's something apparently wrong with my car because this isn't the first time it's burned through brakes (none of the rest of which were bought from Budget Brakes) unnaturally fast, but they still gave me the replacement brakes for free and just told me to have them checked every six months instead of a year. I went in to get my brakes done and walked out with a bill for $961! My friend who works on cars told me later that I was totally ripped off. I am a poor public school teacher and didn't have the funds to begin with. However, when someone is telling you that your car is dangerous and that you need new pads, rotors, hardware, caliper, etc and you have high mileage you believe them. I work teaching all day and can't really afford to take the time off- so I got the work done. In addition, they took at all morning to do the repairs. I have had to take time off and driving around to get at least 3 estimates on car repairs since this incident. The fact that this company could do such a thing to someone living on a limited budget and helping children just makes me sick. Shame on you! Watch out for the coming Karma. Cons: Pay 10 times as much as others charge more

I tried to get a price on replacing the rotor on my vehicle,and the person would not give it to me.He kept saying to bring it in,but I am not getting stuck with a car on the lift and a high repair bell! more
