Hello. I am a one time customer who had heard about Buca di Beppo via a coupon promotion and was excited to try out a new restaurant. I ordered food from the Lexington, MA location, and was told the wait would be about 25 minutes. This constructs my first item of feedback: any other restaurant would have a wait time no longer than 20 minutes, if that. However, I waited with the notion that soon, I would be having delicious Italian food with my family of 6. I had ordered one small pizza, one large eggplant parmesan, and one large chicken parmesan. The manager had told me that a small cheese pizza would be 12" by 12", and the menu said that any large item would feed 6 people. For that amount of food, I was willing to pay a higher price. You can only imagine how upset I was when I got home and realized I had received nowhere near the amount of food I had expected. The large containers were barely filled, and the pizza was nowhere near the size I had been told it was. For $30 I had been given three average slices of chicken parmesan, and the $15 pizza barely filled the 12? by 12? box!!! As far as I'm concerned, I had been lied to, and charging me $70 for such a petty amount of food is no different from thievery. As the economy has hit rough times, a $70 purchase is a big deal. The difference between a good business and a bad business is the value that a customer gets from each. I will never go back to Buca di Beppo as I feel this business is dishonest, and the product provided was poor. In the meantime, I?ll be grabbing dinner at the nearest Pizzeria Regina/Polcari?s.
