Paid for parking, bought a drink, and then had to leave because internet service was out - again 6/3/2011

If you want a working internet connection, go anywhere BUT Break. After they 'upgraded' the system in 2010 it still failed to work and to make matters worse the 'upgrade' resulted in none of the staff knowing where the routers are to restart them. Only if you enjoy spending $5 for your drink, sitting down, opening your laptop and discovering that you have to get up and go elsewhere to get any work done online will you like BROKE Espresso. more

Friendly, relaxing and good coffee. Free WiFI. Much better than other nearby coffee shops. more

I love this place 4/10/2009

Great coffee, Missoula style laid-back ambiance, free Wi-Fi, great food! This place is a cross-roads for Downtown, University students, businesspeople and other public figures. In the tradition of all the great coffee houses, so much gets done at Break Espresso, many consider it their favorite office annex. This is one of several great Downtown java slingers. more

Yum 3/10/2009

A fantastic little Missoula hub where the students meet the old timers on the main drag. The pies are devine and so is the espresso brownie and house made quiche, bagles and soups. The drip coffee is nice and strong and the espressos are well pulled! The wooden floors and Montana maps give a rustic feel while the free internet connection brings you right to today. more

Oooooooooh! 4/10/2006

I have been on a search to find the best mocha in town, and Break Espresso is one of my top two places. Not too sweet, coffee not too bitter. (Only the Espresso Bar at the Market in the UC beats them, and that's based on price). Their desserts are delicious - I heartily recommend the Mocha Pecan Pie. It's not like a traditional pecan pie (too sweet for my taste), but rather like a big fudgy mocha brownie, loaded with pecans and a little caramel. I had to take part of it home - but that just made the pleasure last longer. Break is home to the Thursday night Spanish speakers club, and also offers ongoing events such as live music and other performances. Funky decor, and very friendly barristas. Highly recommended. more
