Brazilian Wax By Andreia

In my opinion waxing is the best and only method of hair removal that I would consider. i am a low maitenence person and waxing every 4 weeks (everywhere) is preferable to messing around with a razor in the shower. Waxing removes the hair from the root and regrowth is much, much finer. It is painful the first couple of times its done (esp Brazilians!!) but if you maintain the upkeep each visit will get easier and easier (Although I do admit the first time I took a trip to Brazil I took 2 ibuprofen beofrehand) :) But I highly recommend Brazilian Wax by Andreia to anyone... more

Brazilian Wax by Andreia was recommend by a friend as the ultimate Brazilian wax experience and I was not disappointed. I was advised to request Marli, who was lovely throughout this rather awkward procedure (it was my first wax). The results were OUTSTANDING, without any residual pain, although I did take some Tylenol before I went.... But is something that I know will stay with me for a long time... I LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. The shop from first glance is kind of a hole in the wall place - but I'm NOT picky when it comes to excellent customer service and awesome results. I've only been twice but getting waxes here will be in my regular once per month (every 4 week) beauty routine. The first time I went I saw Andreia and she's fabulous. Very professional, very thorough and she made me feel so comfortable. Second time I went I saw Pauline and I received the same level of professionalism, results and customer service. This is the real deal ? I?m guessing nearly all of the women are from Brazil and have literally been doing this for years. I wouldn?t go or recommend that you go anywhere else. I recently started getting bikini waxes and was terrified, but after visiting Andreia's I am hooked! The salon was nice, clean, and the staff is friendly and professional! They made me so comfortable that I don't dread the thought of a wax! \r \r My only issue is trying to get a wax on Saturdays. My schedule is so tight that usually the only time I can get to the shop is Saturdays at around 6:30, so I called on Friday to set an appointment to be sure and they told me that Saturdays are just walk-ins. I asked specifically would they be there at 6:30 and was told yes and they closed at 7! Well at 6 I called to make sure they were still open as I rushed from work and was told they were already closed!!!!! \r \r I was beyond disappointed and this is the SECOND time it's happened. I drove all there way there one weekend and they were closed, so I thought by calling I would be sure to get in. Now I am stuck waiting for the shop to open on Monday, I have to spend another weekend hairy (and that's hell on your love life), and I have to cancel other plans to get a wax!!! I know no one likes to be stuck at work at 6 on a Saturday night, but I wish they would stick to their posted hours to make it more convienent for busy girls like me!!!! I have been to various different cities to get a Brazilian wax and this place has been the best by far. They use the same wax that is used in Brazil, which can't be bought here. They buy it there and bring it back. Personally it hurts less when they use this type of wax versus the other kind used by most places which is used with mueslin cloth strips. The girl I saw did a very thorough job, including getting any stray hairs. She was very quick as well. You can tell she's done this alot. I would HIGHLY recommend this place. The only drawback, but I have only been here once, is that my appt was for noon and they didn't take me in until after 12:30pm. So maybe calling ahead and confirming that they can take you in at the scheduled appt would help. All in all, well worth it! This is a REAL waxing salon.... thats what they do. This is not a beauty salon that just decided to add on a girl to do some waxing in the back--- those types of places generally dont do the best job, and the bikini waxers always seem to be very uncormfortable. Thats not what you want at all!!! Andreia's is just the opposite; fast, comfortable, AFFORDABLE, just an overall great wax. I love them!!!! THANK YOU - THANK YOU - THANK YOU\r After breaking up with my boyfriend months ago I ended up forgeting how important it was to take care of myself. I've been at several spa's but nothing close to Andreia's. I was seen by Vanella (she spelled it out and she's as sweet as the name sounds). She was professional and new her stuff. I was scared at first ,but she made me feel confortable in just minutes. The place is clean, and the staff is very nice, regardless of the level of English some of them may speak - they make you feel home. You can tell they've been doing this for a long time. I know they are there to wax you not listen to you, but Vanella made me feel good about myself. As she said at the beggining I left with no hair and no pain (It did hurt, but a lot less the the other places. They use a different type of wax and no strips.) I love Andreia's. The facility is clean and comfortable, and the customer service and waxing services are great. The staff is very friendly and knowledgable and the majority speak English. I had a brazilian by Vanilla and Claudia. Vanilla told me I would be hair free from the waist down by the time I left, and that is EXACTLY what I got. I had been going to a highly rated salon that was good, but decided to try something new at half the price. Andreia's was MUCH more thorough and less painful than any other salon I have gone to. I will now go here on a regular basis...especially since I can now afford it! I highly recommend it! First off they have moved. They are now near the Big Chicken in front of Harry's Market. When I arrived I had a moment of disbelief that I was actually going to go inside. This is not a frilly day spa. It's a little run down and not what I'm used to. I've been going to one of the ""best of"" spas and everytime I go I pay $80.00 for a brazilian and I'm never satisfied. I'm used to getting my legs waxed and having to go home and shave. Not at this place. They are here to perform a service and they do a great job. Most of the ladies speak only a little english so don't expect great conversation. The faciliies are clean but worn and not up to midtown spa standards. The condition of the spa facilities did in no way affect the service that I received. This was without a doubt the best wax I've ever had. They use a waxing technique in which they put on the hot wax and pull the wax itself off without using cloth. They do not reuse anything, this is a clean facility. Of course It hurt like hell but it always does. I saw Claudia and she was so sweet. Most importantly she was thorough and professional. I left totally satisfied with the results of my wax and I have no intentions of ever going to another spa. If you need to be pampered and coddled than this is not the place for you. if you want a perfect wax for an unbelievable price than you must go here. I was in and out in 30 minutes and paid $30.00.
