I was looking to rent from them but now i'm glad I never filled out an application more

North Versailles cliffview apt. Brandywine is stopping investigators from going into a tenants house who abandoned there pets for 3 weeks. What's worse is even animal friends can't come to get into the apartment because of Brandywine repeatedly convincing them that the tenant will come back and they never do. There has not been any power in the home for 3 weeks and they have been asked to remove the cat(s) but after that theynsay well we will go in if they don't get power turned on by Wednesday Wednesday came and went and they say well we will wait till 3 tomorrow past that too . They keep putting it off and they don't want to use the cameras they set up to watch the building to prove that the tenants have not been stopping in regularly. They don't even want to open the door to prove there's no food but the food that's been shoved under the door. Don't rent from them everyone here is druggies everyone uses really foul language and they smoke in the halls . Brandywine does not care more

I received a notice in the mail that my rent was paid. Sometimes I pay in cash and sometimes I pay with check. So, I call them and state that I paid my rent (I thought by cash), and she says, ""Did you get a receipt"", I said no. I've never had a problem before and I've lived here for 6-7 years, why think anything would be any different. So, she proceeds to get extremely rude with me on the phone, at which point I lose it with her. She says I'll either have to show a receipt from them, or a cancelled check with their stamp on it. Well, as it turns out, I DID pay with a check, THANK GOD. I went to the bank and they printed out their STAMPED and deposited check. So, I take to them. They want to ARGUE with me and still say they can't find the payment. Is this MY problem your incompetent, under-educated staff cannot do their jobs properly and misplace receipts, deposits, etc? I showed them PROOF positive I paid with the cancelled check from the bank with their stamp on it. What MORE could you possibly want? Then the idiot has the nerve to say, ""Well, I see you wrote it on a National City bank account"". I said, ""Yeah, so"". Well, you aren't supposed to do that because you should have gotten PNC checks when they bought them out. I said look idiot, I've paid for a year with the same checks, NEVER an issue, and besides, YOU CASHED THE DAMN thing and deposited it. YOu have the money! RUN, don't walk from these IDIOTS! more

I lived here for several years and found it to be a nice, quiet place to live. The apartments are old and could stand to be updated, but neighbors were nice and the maintenance staff was wonderful. When I moved out, I discovered Brandywine management's dirty little secret: they are thieves. Somehow, over the years, they have gotten away with stealing people's security deposits. If you are unaware of the law, you should know that it is illegal for a landlord to keep a tenant's security deposit, minus any legitimate costs for damages exceeding wear and tear. I have to wonder how many thousands of dollars this agency has stolen from its tenants simply because it states in its lease addendums they are allowed to keep your security deposit. They are not permitted to do this, regardless of what their lease agreement says. All tenants should know this, and if they refuse to give you your money back, at the very least, file a civil complaint with the North Versailles magistrate for double the amount of your original security deposit, as allowed under the law. This is theft, people, plain and simple, and criminal fines and penalties should be imposed upon this agency. Don't let Brandywine get away with these criminal actions. more

I think that it is a complete joke to move here. Because the sup's wife is a drunk and she mooches boozes off of tenents and also money. Her son steals from apartments also the supervisor relies on other male tenants to do electrical and plumbing and help with basement and elevator flooding. I have asked him several times to get into storage and I have been ignored. Wife and son show apartments while wife is drunk and in underwear. This is inappropiate behavior for people to see. The drug deals are out of control. Supervisor was notified and nothing being done. We even tell him this is bad news and he still lets them in because of a bonus. more

I have rented an apartment in White Oak for many years and am finally moving on.This rental agency does nothing but suck you in, first of all ""free heat"" is a lie,you pay for the furnace running off of electric, so don't fall for it!!! Second of all the management here is a joke, in the winter be prepared to clean your own sidewalks. The noise and the drug dealings are also out of control, management does nothing. As long as they pay there rent I don't care attitude. Run don't walk away from Brandywine and it's rental communities!!! There are other management complexes in the area.
