During your initial neurological examination with our neurologist, you can expect a thorough review of your health history with special attention given to your current condition. You can also expect to take a neurological exam that will test mental status and function of the cranial nerves including vision, strength, coordination, reflexes, and sensation. This information will be used to determine whether the problem exists in the nervous system and/or if it exists in other systems of the body. Localization of the pathology is the key process to develop a diagnosis. Further tests may be needed to confirm a diagnosis and will ultimately guide you into therapy and the appropriate management of your condition.
