I also loved the sleeping loft but if you're afraid of heights or not very agile you'll want to make sure to book a cabin without a loft. The code to the key box was mailed to us ahead of time so there was no formal check in/out procedure which was nice. We were left on our own the whole time, which was fine with us. We'd stay there again if we're ever back in Seward. more

The cabins look over a nice small pond an trees and the whole area is really quiet and serene. I would definitely stay there again. 7/12/2011

This work out great. The owners have a special system regarding keys/access to cabins as a result of which there was no need for any "check-in" and in fact we did not even meet the owners. We did not seek them out either and they did not come to see us, which was fine. The cabin (Wolf''s Den) is really nice, has 2 beadrooms, a small living room-dining room-kitchen and bathroom. There is complimentary coffee and tea. Everything seems to be preety new and is clean and neat. The only rule I saw being posted was about washing dishes, which I consider a standard. The cabins look over a nice small pond an trees and the whole area is really quiet and serene. I would definitely stay there again. more

B&Bs etc but this is without doubt our favourite - a wonderful experience and one we would recommend to anyone most strongly. 7/11/2011

This was a delightful place to stay from the moment of arrival. The cabins are spotless and very well equipped. There is much work going on in the garden but already has 2 fire pits, a BBQ, a pond and stream and all surrounded by beatiful flowers and trees. The fire pit was a great focal point for those that wish to join in with a few drinks around a fire in the evening - enlivened by the occasional moose popping in to see what was going on. We as a family have travelled extensively in the US and stayed in all manner of hotels, B&Bs etc but this is without doubt our favourite - a wonderful experience and one we would recommend to anyone most strongly. more

Our stay in the Bear's Den cabin was wonderful. It offered all the amenities we expected, was extremely clean, and highly comfortable. The hosts, Barb and Cliff Young, made us feel very welcome. They suggested restaurants, local places of interest, and helped us have a great charter fishing adventure. I highly recommend the cabins to anyone looking for a rustic, yet luxurious experience. 7/1/2011

The facility is not only beautiful but extremely comfortable 6/27/2011

What an absolutely fabulous retreat! We had the pleasure of spending several nights which included fishing by day. The facility is not only beautiful but extremely comfortable. The exterior is also inviting with a cozy setting, nestled in the woods. The outdoor fire pit offers opportunity to sit back, relax and reflect on the excitement of the day. Along with the sound of the creek rushing under the sturdy bridge one is fairly contained with the amenities only found in a special place such as this. Enjoy your experience as we have. Your hosts Barb and Cliff are the best! more
