i urge you to take your whole family to this shanty building on broad street in a part of town you would dont want to be in after nightfall. the food is so damn good and cheap, and the place has a true community atmosphere. i never realized new orleans had such a large caribbean population, and it is a testament to the quality of boswell's that they all show up there to fill up on mr boswell's delectables. start out with the jerk pork/chicken combo. come back next time and get the oxtails. then the roti. i get hungry just writing about it.
Pros: tasty, inexpensive, delicious
Cons: sketchy neighborhood
