Books-A-Million is a good place to go if you need a specific book or if you want to browse their discount area. They always have atleast two large tables, and usually more, of discount books. They have the best childrens section in the area so if that's what you're looking for you're in luck. They also have a large magazine rack and board games. Joe's Muggs is the coffee shop in Books-A-Million and it's a great place to get coffee or hot chocolate for while you wander the store or to sit and study or read the new book you just picked up. more

Books-A-Million 4/12/2006

First off Books-A-Million doesn't have the best location. It can be hard to get out of their parking lot due to the heavey traffic, but that is just the beginning. I like to be able to take care of all of my business as efficiently as possible. With Books-A-Million this can be difficult. For example, you can only by books and a very select few CD's, but they do not carry DVD's. Their prices are not far from SRP and I have not ever seen a sale there. Their organization is sometimes a little off and can make find a specifict title difficult. On the plus side, they have a marked down section which mainly consists of photography and historical books. As well as, fiction and kids books you probably havn't heard of. And their magazine selection is probably one, if not the biggest to choose from in this area. They do offer a coffee bar, but I have never used it. If you can't find what your looking for at one of the other book stores in town then I recommend checking them out, but only as a last resort. more

all around good bookstore 8/29/2005

I'm accustomed to Border Books and Barnes and Noble. Books-A-Million is the closest thing to those two stores in this area. They offer a nice selection of books in every genre and an fantastic selection of magazines too. The children's section offers both books and toys. There is a Thomas the Tank Engine train table set up in the children's section too. The store has a Joe Mugg's. The candy bar frappe (made with oreo cookies) is really delicious. The service is helpful. The bathroom could be cleaner. The prices are reasonable. I do wish they would offer more book signing events. more
