We took my mother here to find her special dress that she is going to wear for our wedding. My fianc?e suggested this place since it had plenty of sizes that might fit both of our mothers. Now being the groom, I really had no idea what i was getting myself into, but i could not imagine how bad this store was going to be. I was there for moral support for my mother, and was she going to need it.
After about 2 minutes of looking around we were bombarded by a salesperson. She greeted us in that typical spiel manner. She belittled my mother for being in the wrong area for special event dresses and pushed us over to the right area. We were quickly surrounded by pretty expensive dresses. A little over what we wanted to spend. The salesperson started yelling questions at my mother about prices. I came over when I heard her yell repeatedly, ""how much, how much?"" I asked her, ""are you asking her for a budget she's trying to stay in?"" When my mom told her ""how much"", she wrote us off! She told my mother she is in the wrong store! Wow, my jaw dropped.
The salesperson abandoned us in the middle of the store, which is about the nicest thing she did. My mother could now look in peace. I really wanted to leave because the situation was incredibly offensive, but I understood that the sizes this store offers were hard to find. She successfully found about six dresses in her size between her budget give or take 100 dollars. Minutes later the salesperson came back to sort of check up on us. It appeared that she was going to put away the dresses my mother had chosen to try on, so my fianc? headed on over to let her know that we were interested in trying them on. This salesperson looked my mother up and down and told her ""these will never fit you."" She said it in a manner that completely crushed my mother. This lady was upset that we had not left the store yet and she made it clear that it was time for us to go.
Here we are in a store where they specialize in plus sized dresses, yet the rudest woman I have encountered in a while. I'm not sure if it's the color of our skin, the Spanish accent of our English, or simply our being there, but it was time to leave. My fianc? attempted to correct this person and explain that her tone with my mother was simply inexcusable. My future mother in law tried to explain that we were simply there to buy a dress and her attitude was too harsh. The lady stormed into the back ignoring us and yelled, ""look at whatever you want then, I don't care."" Our mothers really wanted to buy a dress from this place, but there simply is no point to supporting a store that employs these types of people. We left, because no clothing is worth putting up with this kind of service.
Cons: rude service
