I went here about two weeks ago for a regular cleaning. I picked Dr. Blumenkranz after checking out some reviews. I got an appointment quick without having to wait a month. The receptionist was very polite and introduced herself. Dr. B came out and also introduced himself. I appreciate that he did all the work- from X-Rays to cleaning etc. Also, the guy is just enjoyable. This is my new dentist.\r more

Dr. Blumenkranz is by far the BEST dentist I have ever been to. He is always in such a great mood. He explains everything he is doing which I really enjoy. And his prices are extremely reasonable, and, considering I don't have insurance this is a plus. I will be back for as long as I'm in the area.\r more

I am usually terrified of the noises, the tools and just the all around work that I need to have done, but when I went to Dr. Blumenkranz he made me feel so calm and comfortable that I almost forgot that I needed to have a tooth pulled, he made the procedure very easy and comfortable for me, so for that thank you so much ! more

Dr. Blumenkranz is fantastic. I was in a lot of pain and he took me in right away for an emergency root canal. While it's not a pleasant experience, I felt completely comfortable and Dr. Blumenkranz walked me through the whole process with ease. I'd happily recommend him to other patients.\r more

While I had a cracked filling on one of my teeth, he could see no reason for the pain I was in. He told me, """"Sorry, but there's nothing wrong with your teeth. Maybe your sinuses?"""" \r I went to the ENT, he gave me some antibiotics and sent me on my way. In a couple of days, though, I was back to Dr. Blumenkranz with terrible pain in my teeth. Still he wouldn't drill. He said there was no evidence of a dental problem other than my pain, and that wasn't good enough. He said, """"Next stop, Neurologist."""" \r In fact, he even said he had seen a case like mine a long time ago and it turned out to be a neuralgia. He prescribed some meds for the pain, gave me his cell phone with instructions to call him and report on my condition, and sent me on my way. \r Long story short - I have since spoken with my internist (so many doctors!) and he agreed wholeheartedly. Turns out, he too had seen this pain before, but he pointed out that whenever someone sees it, the patient has already had tons of unnecessary dental work. He said I should thank Dr. Blumenkranz for being so disciplined and professional.\r And that's it. I love the man for NOT doing dental work on me. He really is an incredible doctor, but an even better person. He treated me with such care and humanity. I hope I never REALLY need him, but if/when I do, I'll be back happily to the best endodontist in DC.""\r more

First root canal for me. I was expecting a lot of pain, but had virtually none. I was referred to Dr. Blumenkranz for this work; he fit me quickly into his schedule for a temporary fix so that I could continue on vacation, and then completed the root canal when I returned. I thought he adequately explained what he was doing, had a good sense of humor, and was sensitive about pain. Other than keeping my mouth continually open, the only real discomfort was a couple moments in the last 10-15 minutes: he would then check with me and alert me when I might feel a little discomfort. Most of the time, I could easily have fallen asleep--except, of course, that my mouth needed to stay open:) I didn't need the pain medication he provided between the 2 visits, and only took the 2 pills after the final visit because they were only 2, and weren't optional. Highly recommended.\r more

It took 2 appointments, but each was less painful than a normal filling. I was expecting to be really uncomfortable after the novocaine wore off, but I felt good as new 2 hours after the visit. I would recommend Dr. Blumenkranz to anyone and everyone!\r more

Oh my goodness. I love it here!! They treat me like family. They make sure i am always comfortable before they proceed to whatever I come in there for. They always have the amazing stories to distract you with. more

I just love the dds here. They are so easy going. As I was growing up I hated dds but this one made it seem like I wasn't even there for a dds. It felt like I went to catch up with a friend. They are so easy going that I will keep coming back. I hope everyone that lives in the area decides to go there. It's just great. more
