Fish was bad. Owner refuses to return unused portion of gift certificate and called us broke. We do not need the money. The certificate was for $50 and the unused portion only $25...

Delightful Dining Experience 4/11/2011

Great atmosphere, wonderful location right on a beautiful lake, and to top it all off the food was great and affordable. Definitely recommended, it's sad that one obviously disgruntled customer with a grudge is dragging down the rating of this excellent restaurant. I'm going there next week and I can't wait more

Bad Fish 6/1/2009

Fish was bad. Owner refuses to return unused portion of gift certificate and called us broke. We do not need the money. The certificate was for $50 and the unused portion only $25. I called to let them know the fish was not good. Instead of an apology the owner told me we need money. I spoke with Heather the manager and the owner Jeff. The owner Jeff said, "No restaurant in the world would return the unused portion of the gift certificate." We did not ask for a refund, just the amount of the gift certificate that was not used. more

Wonderful ambience 8/10/2005

The Bluewater Grille in Skaneateles is a great place to spend a quiet night with your significant other or a fun night with friends relaxing. The large bar area surrounds the dining area, which is quite spacious. There is additional seating outside on the decks overlooking the lake. The menu is pretty varied - pastas, seafood, chicken and salad dishes seem the most prominent, and the food is excellent. The wait staff is always efficient and available to serve your needs in a friendly manner. Overall, a fun place to spend an evening! more
