Built in 1921, the Blue Ridge Boutique Hotel is housed in the former Spruce Pine Elementary School building. It sits alongside the Toe River and is connected by a foot
bridge to downtown Spruce Pine.
The hotel is operated by the non-profit: Mayland Community College Enterprise Corporation and is run by students attending the college, all of whom are more than happy to tell you about their school experience, career aspirations, and provide insight into local amenities. After thoughtful renovations, the hotel opened in July 2021 and looks forward to hosting guests in the beautiful Blue Ridge mountains for years to come.
