Although the doctor is excellent, other workers are incompetent and we had a bad experience!\r My daughter clearly stated to the receptionist at the time of the appointment that she did NOT want a contact exam. Immediately following the exam, she informed me that there was a $40.00 charge for the contact exam. I stated that she told you she did not want the exam. She argued that it was my daughter's fault for not informing the doctor. I felt the receptionist should tell the doctor and that my daughter said she did not know what was being done for the regular exam and what was being done for the contact exam. The doctor came out and said if she did not charge for the contact exam then she would have charge for a sick office visit because my daughter complained of redness in her eyes.\r So I was forced to pay for services that we DID NOT want and specifically told them we did not want! more

Do you like to see?? 1/4/2008

I have been using them for years and have had great results with them. They talk to you, suggest the best for you and stand behind what they say. Very rare now a days. Very nice and friendly even when they are busy. I don't use my insurance much and they know what to do so someone like me doesn't become frustrated figuring it all out. more

Decent Place 11/9/2005

Bloomingdale Optical is nestled in a strip mall on Bloomingdale road. It's a small place but they are very effecient. The staff is friendly and tries to get you in and out quickly so you don't waste anytime. The optometrist was very nice and knew right away that I needed glasses and the right lense. After spending a short period of time, I was told I needed glasses for night driving and reading. I was very happy with the prices too. more
