Blake's Big Apple Orchard

This is an EXCELLENT orchard. You can apple pick here, take a hay ride, climb the hay stacks, go through a haunted house, walk through areas that have animals housed, go through their little store and purchase cider and doughnuts. You can also eat lunch there, sold under their yellow tent outside the store. You can also drive your car out to the orchards, pick your apples, put them in the car and pay on your way out of the orchard. If you go with kids, might be an option for you. You can also pick strawberries and raspberries too! They also sell Halloween pumpkins already decorated that you can purchase OR you can pick your own and take them home to decorate yourself. This apple orchard is a GREAT place to spend the day with family and friends. There is a small store and a place to purchase food for lunch. After lunch, go on a hay ride to pick your own apples, or drive your own car out into the orchard to avoid having to carry all those apples! There is a haunted house, a corn maze, a tire sand area to play in. There are animals available to pet, as well as a HUGE hay tower available for the kids to climb on. Watch for coupons in your local paper or inserted into those value paks received in the mail. The apple cider and donuts are the BEST! Have fun! Parking is quite spacious but I would go early. Seems to get very busy about noon and on. Prices are comparable to other orchards. Reasonable. more

I am and have always been a customer at Blake's.. it's a great place to go and take the family for the day.. one of the best things about fall is going out to the apple orchard for the day.. it's so great.. there are a lot of orchards in our area but I rate Blake's as one of the best.. it is huge.. you can always get fresh produce and everything is SO good.. the apple cider is yummy.. they always have some sort of event going on, in the fall they have the hayrides which are always fun.. throughout the year they sell different things, have group tours.. anything your heart desired.. it's a GREAT place to visit with your loved ones.. so go, make a day of it!! more

Blake's Big Apple is another orchard own by the same people who own Blake's Cider Mill. While the Big Apple does not feature as many fun family things as the Cider Mill, it is a great place to buy cider, apples and other produce. They do have an excellent haunted hayride and haunted barn during Halloween both of which I would definitely recommend. more
