I love this pottery studio. Stumbled on it while we were walking around Skippack one day. Stopped in to take a look because throwing pottery is my passion.
The owner was so friendly and knowledgeable! I can't believe how passionate she is about not only her own work, but the work of her students and teaching them and sharing her passion with them. She also has a huge community sense with a vision to create a community arts center. It's not your average person who would be so passionate about sharing art with the world ... and actually follow through looking for ways to start a community arts center!
Every time I've been in the studio, appointments are flowing through the door on a constant basis. Whether it's a student coming for a lesson, or a group coming to do some painting. I've watched the owner give people their art after it's been fired ... and how excited and thankful they are for her help and for her promptness in getting their works fired!
I read a negative review on here, and I have to tell you, that is NOT my experience. And it seems it's not many other people's experiences either, at least from what I've observed when I've been in the store. My gut tells me that person is disgruntled with the world. And my guess is every store owner has at least one. Looks like this is Blacksheep's blacksheep ;).
Check out Blacksheep Pottery. Take your kids there. Have a birthday party there. I think they've even been nominated as best place to host a birthday party! What an honor!
