Love this place! 12/6/2011

I love this pottery studio. Stumbled on it while we were walking around Skippack one day. Stopped in to take a look because throwing pottery is my passion. The owner was so friendly and knowledgeable! I can't believe how passionate she is about not only her own work, but the work of her students and teaching them and sharing her passion with them. She also has a huge community sense with a vision to create a community arts center. It's not your average person who would be so passionate about sharing art with the world ... and actually follow through looking for ways to start a community arts center! Every time I've been in the studio, appointments are flowing through the door on a constant basis. Whether it's a student coming for a lesson, or a group coming to do some painting. I've watched the owner give people their art after it's been fired ... and how excited and thankful they are for her help and for her promptness in getting their works fired! I read a negative review on here, and I have to tell you, that is NOT my experience. And it seems it's not many other people's experiences either, at least from what I've observed when I've been in the store. My gut tells me that person is disgruntled with the world. And my guess is every store owner has at least one. Looks like this is Blacksheep's blacksheep ;). Check out Blacksheep Pottery. Take your kids there. Have a birthday party there. I think they've even been nominated as best place to host a birthday party! What an honor! more

Love it! 7/8/2011

I am not sure about the reviewer that offered such a horrible experience, it is definately not the norm.\r \r I have been learning at this studio for a year and a half! I am totally hooked and Nicole is awesome! \r \r In response to the negative review, can things sometime run late in terms of firing and pickup, sure. This is art; not McDonalds :) Things happen, kilns misfire, etc. Sometimes it's not an exact science. In terms of the classes not being valuable; I couldn't disagree more. I went into my first class having never touched a potter's wheel. Now I have friends and family asking me to create items for them. I have given my work as gifts and even sold a few pieces! \r \r Can't say enough good things about this studio and each of the classes, I have done it all! Thanks Nicole for all you do <3 \r \r more

Happy kids+Happy Mom=Bliss 7/2/2011

We stumbled onto this studio during First Friday last night and couldn't be more excited. We've been googling for months to find a Paint Your Own Pottery closer to our home- and this is it! This studio is bright, clean, fun and has a great selection of pottery- much of it hand made in the studio by the owner. Not only were the artist assistants friendly and helpful, but we are actually picking up our pieces today (!) so my daughter's friends visiting for the 4th of July weekend can go home today with the super mug she painted. I can't wait for my kids (and me) to try the pottery classes or silver jewelry next. We will definitely be back :-) Thanks you! Oh, and Ladies Nights and Mom's Night Out- too! more

Amazing Studio, Clay Experience 7/2/2011

Hi Maria, I know the owner. I was shocked when I read this (exact same review on Perkiomenville Patch) and called her immediately and asked her if she honestly knew you. She looked for you as a customer in her computer and said there is no such customer. I thought maybe you had the wrong place. Her place is top notch- the kids and customers love it. The kids and students come first, her art and master skills are from the heart. more

Skippack Sybil 5/27/2011

This is the absolute worst place I've been to in my entire life. The owner is obnoxious and thinks she above you, and has no concept of customer service. Her firings are always late, and she's NEVER there during her posted hours. Additionally, her firing/glazing are overpriced and the ""classes"" are a waste of time and money. more
