DO NOT RENT FROM BJB!!!! Here is my story: I had rented frm BJB for a few years now, and had been a very loyal and reliable tenant. I paid my rent on time, recommended several friends to rent from them, despite many problems, and was quiet and respectful with neighbors, etc. Even when they tried raising my rent over $150 each time I resigned. They did do a pretty poor job with maintenance, having only an email address where you were supposed to send requests, and NEVER heard back from. I had them fix the drain in my bathtub and came back to find this ring of filth and grime around the drain, along with a GIANT CLOG which was left there for me to clean up. When i bought a place and wanted to move I called my building manager to see if I would be able to get a short lease extension because my place was not ready yet. NO CALL BACK. I left 6 different messages! STILL NO CALL!!!! I called and spoke to the managers asst who just said ""Thats our policy, no lease extesions"" and took yet ANOTHER MESSAGE down, which was not returned. So I was furious, and then they have the nerve to call me 4 times while I am on vacation to try to show my apartment. I had left personal items out when I left and said, ""No please do not, and can you have my building manager call me?"" They proceeded to show my apartment anyway AND LOCKED ME OUT!!! So i got back late at night frombeing out of town and had to wait for a friend with an extra key to let me in my place. I called, furious, left a message. ALSO NOT RETURNED!!!! I was also away this weekend, came back and it was the same situation. Locked out, but this time they hadsn't called AT ALL to ask. Per my lease, they are required to give me 2 days notice before showing my apartments. I am consulting a lawyer. F- them. They are terrible and dispectful to loyal tenants. AWFUL EXPERIENCE!!!!!!!!!
