Best

Dr Cox has been my dentist for several yrs. Very professional, honest, and someone you can trust. Same for his dental support staff and hygienists. Top notch. Only bad experience...

All reviews seem positive

Editorial review from Citysearch 1/29/2014

My family has been going to the dentist here for over 10 years. Like the others I have to agree they're honest and provide excellent service. more

I don't know many people who dislike going to the dentist as much as I do. I had some negative experiences when I was younger, plus have had dentists push work that wasn't needed. \r \r I had such a positive experience with this dentist that I had to write a review. Everyone in the office (receptionist, hygienist and dentist) was delightful. They went out of their way to make me feel comfortable. I was out of the office in an hour, and the dentist didn't recommend any work that wasn't absolutely needed. \r \r Far and away the best dental experience I've had. more

Great dentist, highly recommend 3/30/2012

Dr Cox has been my dentist for several yrs. Very professional, honest, and someone you can trust. Same for his dental support staff and hygienists. Top notch. Only bad experiences have been with his receptionist (Karen) who is sometimes rude and obnoxious. I try to avoid her. Bottom line, go there for dental care, and put up with the receptionist to get to the rest of the staff. more

Honest! 10/19/2011

I never take the time to write reviews, but for this I will. I had a horrible dental experience at a corporate office. I needed a second opinion and was recommended Dr. Cox. I brought him the list of cavities that the other dental office said I needed filled. He took the time to give me xrays that he knew he wouldn't get paid on (my insurance only covers xrays every 6 months). He disagreed with several of the spots that the other dental office claimed were cavities. He said he'd watch the spots closely because, they are ""soft spots"" but, are in no way cavities. He could have made top dollar off of me by confirming all the other ""cavities"" that the other dental office claimed I had. Instead he gave me his honest opinion and only did work that needed to be done. I'm a devoted patient now. more

doesn't do work that is not needed 2/28/2011

I started going to Dr Birdwell several years ago. Over the years I've been to dentists who immediately recommend having all of my back teeth crowned or everything refilled, etc.. I know I'll eventually end up having to crown the teeth, but with Dr Birdwell, I'm comfortable that it will only be done when necessary. I even take my children to him and he and his employees do a great job. I can readily recommend him and his staff to anyone needing a dentist. more

Ditto: Dr. Cox Rocks!! 2/21/2010

I wanted to wait a couple of years to post this, just to make sure. Read on, you'll see why.\r \r I've been seeing Dr. Cox 5-6 years. He's done great work and has not caused me or my husband a bit of pain, despite some significant procedures.\r But, I always took my kids to a pediatric dentist in Brentwood. Fully themed-out office, video arcade games, etc. and the dentist is a mom herself. So, about 2 years ago I take them in for their regular 6 month check-up. They've always had the sealant applied to their teeth and had never had a single cavity. This checkup, however, the dentist told me they each had 4 cavities!! She showed me the films, which of course I'm not trained to interpret, or even know if they're being misinterpreted. Regardless, a red flag went up. I decided to take them to Dr. Cox for a 2nd opinion. Instead of re-doing the x-rays, he and his wonderful staff obtained the one's already made and paid for from the pediatric dentist in Brentwood. Dr. Cox evaluated them, and my kids' teeth, also showed the films to Dr. Byrdwell and had no hesitation that my kids had zero cavities!! It's been 2 years and they still don't have cavities. I'd think if the Brentwood dentist had some special sight or evaluation techniques that all those cavities she found 2 years ago would have fully materialized by now. Nothing! Pros: Honest, Pain-free Cons: none! more

Dr. Cox is the best! 3/12/2008

I went to a different dentist (NOT Dr. Cox) on the recommendation of a friend and was told I needed a bunch of unnecessary work. When I declined to have the work done, the dentist was irritated with me. \r \r So I pulled out my list of available dentists and found Dr. Cox. His receptionst is SO NICE. And Dr. Cox and his team were WONDERFUL. They were even good enough to get my husband to go back to the dentist (something I had been unable to do since we were DATING!). Dr. Cox told us what work needed to be done and how to get it done within our budget. They never made my husband feel guilty for not going to the dentist for so long either. \r \r I've recommended Dr. Cox to my co-workers and they have all loved him as well. Pros: Works within your budget and is patient and willing to work with reluctant clients more

Good, honest dentist! Highly recommended! 10/14/2007

I visited Dr. Jason Birdwell based on the recommendation of several of my colleagues. I have had a very bad experience with another local dentist. She told me I needed a lot of work that I did not believe was required. I went to Dr. Birdwell to get a second opinion. \r \r The receptionist was extremely friendly when I called and they were able to see me almost immediately. (FYI, the office is in a complex on Seaboard lane, and the sign is kind of small, so be sure to ask for directions when you call.) Dr. Birdwell's assistant was very nice, and she made me feel very welcome immediately when I sat down. Most impressive was the dentist himself. He was exactly as my co-workers had described - extremely honest and a very good dentist. He examined my teeth and although I did need some limited work, it was much less than had been quoted to me at the other location. I have since gone back and got all of that work done. I am not a fan of dental work, but he was very gentile. I have recommended several of my friends and relatives to Dr. Birdwell. \r \r Also, he does share the office with another dentist, but I've been told that they are in different practices, so make sure you ask for Dr. Birdwell when you call. I would highly recommend him to anyone! Pros: Extremely honest, friendly, gentile more
