Designed our dream home! 2/27/2012

Great architects!! My husband and I had no experience in having a home designed and werent sure what to expect, but Bildsten and Sherwin impressed us right away. They were always friendly and available to us and got the plans done in less time than we'd expected. And when it came to dealing with the city of santa barbara, they were very effective in what friends have told me is often a grueling ordeal. Oh, and our new home is just beautiful :) Overall, top marks to this design studio!! more

Very Effective and Professional 2/27/2012

Had a great experience with these folks. The wife and I retired recently and we hired bildsten and sherwin to remodel the home we have lived in for 30 years. I can say that they earned our trust and catered to our needs, and the completed remodel looks very spiffy- we entertain a lot more these days! Friends have told me about bad experiences with other architects where they paid a lot more money and were dissatisfied with the result, so I am thankful to have found honest and very talented pros. Would recommend this firm to anyone. more

I have recommended Bildsten & Sherwin to my friends and coworkers, and would do so again. They were very professional, knowledgeable, and did a great job working with my family's needs in a home. We love our home, it's the envy of our neighbors, and we didn't have to pay an arm and a leg to do it! more

Best Female Architecture Duo! 2/24/2012

Ellen Bildsten and Susan Sherwin are one of the most professional and creative architecture teams in Santa Barbara. They helped us to complete our home in record time through one of the most unforgiving planning processes in the world. We tried another firm previously that did not show nearly the care or competence of Bildsten and Sherwin. They were clear about the costs and the procedures while guiding us through the system and construction. We couldn't be happier with the results. more
