Please stay away from Big Bear Adventures! On 8/4/11 my family and I rented rafts for a party of 19. However, the owner Scott A. demanded that my niece purchase a hat because she tried it on once. When we questioned if this was a written policy, he nervously stuttered ""No, but if you don't like it then you can leave"". As a result, all 19 of my party demanded a refund and left(per Scotts request). His wife(Patti A.) then told my niece that she may have head lice. What a classy lady! Scott was also not man enough to address our party when we requested a refund and made his wife deal with the situation. Stay away from this place and instead go to Summers Store down the road where you can purchase floatable rafts for under $5.00 and take it to the same waters(Burt Lake) that Big Bear takes you, but for free(Big Bear Prices are also sky high). Keep away from Big Bear Adventures and Scott and Patti A. They do not respect or appreciate paying patrons.
