Great Shop, Nice People 6/30/2010

This shop specializes in rentals and repairs and they are good at what they do. Retail is limited to accessories. Very friendly counter staff; super qualified mechanics. They all work right behind the front counter so you can talk to them directly if you have a difficult problem. A huge range of bikes goes through the shop: cruisers, fixies, MTB, and high end road bikes. Rentals were a breeze to reserve and pick up, both for around town or longer road rides. I heard the owner tell someone that they sold off the rentals at the end of the season. Probably a good deal there. Pros: Personal Service, good location Cons: Parking on street more

Bikes for Rent 5/9/2009

I am the info line recipient for Denver Bicycle Touring Club, and many out-of-towners enjoy riding bikes in Denver, although many inquire as to where they can rent bicycles. I have been referring people to Bicycle Doctor for years. I only know one other rental shop and it is located in the Cherry Creek Shopping Center. Bicycle Doctor is centrally located and accommodates to bikers needs. Thanks for being a one of a kind shop. Pros: Availability Cons: Advertising more

Wheelchair Flat Fixed 5/3/2008

I'm a wheelchair user. On a recent business trip to Denver, I had two flat tires on separate occasions. The second was particularly problematic as I had used my spare tube to fix the first flat. The hotel Concierge gave me a list of nearby bicycle shops. It was my good fortune to select the Bicycle Doctor.\r I arrived at the shop a few minutes before the posted opening time and was greeted and welcomed inside by Matt. He had me out of the shop with two new tubes, tuffy strips installed and green slime added within 30 minutes AND at a very reasonable cost. \r The Bicycle Doctor staff was not intimidated by my wheelchair or by my disability. They were courteous, professional and, most importantly VERY HELPFUL. I wish we had a shop like this where I live!!!\r more

Homebrewed Bike and Ski Shop 6/4/2002

If you're the kind of person who searches for a good local coffeeshop rather than dropping into the closest Starbuck$, the Bicycle Dr/Edgeworks is your kind of Bike/Ski shop. Matt and the gang at the Bicycle Dr. may not be the prettiest guys around - but they do damn good work and you can trust them. In an era where customer service is a lost art, these guys to treat you right. They are honest, straight-shooting and they stand behind their work. If you know that a your boards need a beveled edge or that most new forks come set up with negative travel, but you're not a dork about it, this is your bike shop. And don't try and chisel them out of a few bucks when you need a ""rush"" tune - craftsmanship is worth paying for. Pros: Quality, Integrity, Location Cons: Small Space, Door opens wrong way more
