Best Buy

The North Point Best Buy is a nice store with many friendly sales reps. I've had some problems in the past with the warranty on my computer from the Geek Squad. However a lot of those problems have to do with the facility that my computer was sent off to, not with the people working in the store as the geek squad staff has been nothing but polite and patient with me. \r \r For example I had a hard drive crash a year after it had been fixed for the same problem that prompted me to bring my computer to a store in Savannah to get it shipped off, only to get it back with no Windows and a CD drive that didn't work, which would probably help explain the fact that the computer didn't have Windows on it. I then brought it back to the store on North Point during a holiday break and the problem was then fixed. \r \r A year later I brought the computer in again to get the heat sink fixed as well as a blotch on my screen. We purchased over $6,000 with higher end appliances from Best Buy and have had nothing but terrible service. Products were delivered damaged, Kitchen Aid commercial grade stove's circuit board died 2 weeks after delivery. I called and spoke with store manager and he told me he was ""very busy"" but would have someone contact us. One month later still no one called back. During this month the refrigerator-Electrolux $2,800 spoiled most of my vegetables and would not produce cold water from dispenser. (still doesn't) Second delivery of products -Best Buy delivery people laid refrigerator on it's back on my granite counter top, and told me if the granite broke Best Buy would replace it. The stove they delivered was damaged due to the way they transported it from their truck (in front of our house up the driveway to my garage) to my house and the delivery people took it back to the truck and hammered the back to straighten out the dents!! This stove's circuit board died 24 hours of delivery (due to damage of the back of the stove from delivery) -Christmas day-yes my entire dinner was ruined and I had a house full of guest!! Both the delivery manager, all store managers and even the district manager were made aware of the nightmarish problems we had, each of course promised it would never happen again and also promised a Best Buy gift card (never received anything from them). This didn't help my holiday dinner was ruined and I had to wait another 3 weeks for yet a third stove. Their Geek Squad couldn't fix the refrig, so I asked for an Electrolux representative and the Best Buy district manager said I would have to contact them myself. Do yourself a favor DO NOT BUY APPLIANCES FROM THIS BEST BUY. Go to a reliable store whether you spend $1,000 or $6,800 like we did. Go to a store that stands by the products they sell, from the delivery people to the service people-which is certainly not the Best Buy in Alpharetta! I was speaking with one of the sales associates at this location and they truly try to serve every customer that comes in and or calls..... They told me that they get over 700 calls a day..and typically only one person is on the phones..On top of that...people want FREE technical support!! C'mon now! How fare is that! What happen to the days where people would research for themselves?? I mean I can understand if you bought the product from some place, but after it's in your hands why do people expect these poor associates to hold their hands through out the life of the product! I think Best Buy is trying hard to keep up with the demands..I mean it is the ONLY real electronic store left that I feel the workers try to live up to the high demand of the rapid technological changes. 6 months ago, my computer crashed. Took it to Geek Squad where they told me they could fix it in store. They promptly shipped it off without authorization by me, then refused to return my hard drive. They do not, cannot, will not answer the phone. I finally got my hard drive replaced in August and am STILL waiting for my data recovery. I will NEVER do business with Best Buy again. Waisted time and energy - Called three times no one answered the phone 2 out of 3 times on hold over 5 minuetes on each call. On the trird try got bounced all over the store!!! Pros: NO PHONE CUSTOMER SERVICE Cons: Can not ask about products before driving there.. more

We have been very happy with Best Buy on North Point. Very clean and well laid out store make browsing and buying easy. The salespeople we have dealt with can answer questions and are knowledgeable about the products. more

Best Buy is one of those places where you can find new items evertime you vist. I love that places all of my computers and T.V.s come from there. It is a place I will contunie to vist. more

Best Buy has electronics that are high in quality and durability, along with a staff that can tell you what all the buttons mean.:) You can also find DVDs and CDs at affordable prices, as well as upgraded cell phone models. more

They have a very nice rebate system on alot of thier computers and lptops, but some of their things are just very overpriced.OVerall i love the help they give you nad costumer support. more

This is a very nice and big best buy store, customer associates are very friendly. The layout of the store is nice and items are very easy to find. The associates here are very helpful in electronics and cameras. more
