I used to go to this salon when it was on Main & Evans and liked the atmosphere and the hair services. They moved to an office building on Main Street and it's terrible. You feel like you're in an insurance office. The space is big but the layout of the stations is crazy, they pack three chairs in where there should be two and then have all kinds of open space that isn't used. The lighting is horrible, the acoustics are impossible; when you're getting your hair cut and the person six inches away is getting their hair blow dried you can't hear your stylist and you get the other person's dryer air in your face. There is nothing comfortable, upscale or pleasant about this salon. They need to hire a salon designer to make this noisy box a salon or move again. On top of the miserable surroundings, the stylists seem to be having internal strife and the snide comments, eye rolling and huffy behavior is annoying even though it's aimed at fellow employees. I don't understand why it's so hard to find a great salon that stays great, it's as if there is a rule that they have to self destruct every few years.
